Last month I shared a beautiful Fall-themed card with diagonally-cut strips of the gorgeous Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper. As I sat down to make a simple, sweet Halloween card to share with you today, I turned to that card for a little inspiration. It’s such a fun paper piecing technique (and I had so much fun with it the first time), so it only makes sense to play with it again. This time, I pieced diagonally-cut pieces of the Cute Halloween 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. Here’s my card:
For reference, here’s the card I shared with you in September (you can click on the picture below to see my original post for this project):
I adore the sweet (and a little spooky) pages in the Cute Halloween 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. They are perfect for cards or fun 3-D projects for sweet giveaways at the end of the month. What fun! Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this adorable pack of papers:
I’ve already shared enough from this pack of papers to share a “More Color Combinations” post with the pages from Cute Halloween 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. To see this post, CLICK HERE.
I pieced together an Old Olive panel with Basic Black Halloween houses with a Basic Black panel of white BOO’s. Such fun! I stamped “TRICK OR TREAT” from the Little Delights stamp set (my most-used sets in the July-December Mini Catalog because it covers so many different holidays). Here’s a look at the sentiment on my card:
And here’s a look at the Little Delights stamp set that should be a part of your stamp set collection:
I added another panel of the home-filled Old Olive paper to my envelope for perfect coordination:
Nearly any color would look great when paired with Basic Gray and Basic Black – I just happen to have used Old Olive here, but I think any color would look great. If you like this mix of Old Olive, Basic Gray and Basic Black as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:

Fun card today Brian! Love the pattern and simplicity.
I agree about the DSP being sweet…not scary this year. I love the alternating strips of the two papers. Enjoy your day!
Great paper! I love how you used the wedge shaped pieces. Great card!
STOP the ever-lovin prsses my friend. This is CUTENESS on steroids.
Hmmmm – interesting. I never even noticed this 6X6 DSP! I don’t know how I missed it. I do have the Little Delights stamp set and really love the images on it. Great card Brian with a fun combination of prints. TFS
