Q: Can you have too many popped up layers on a card?
A: Never.
Stampin’ Dimensionals are one of my all-time favorite products in my craft room. I use them on nearly every project I make. Most times, though, I pop up one layer or one element on a card. That makes the card perfect for mailing to a loved one. Today’s card is not easily mailed in a standard envelope as there are 9 layers of cardstock (if you include the darling accent on the stocking) – and four of those layers are popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. That’s WAY TOO MANY to drop in the mail in a standard envelope, but it’s perfect for a hand-delivered greeting or to be included in a gift that’s being mailed. Point is – you can’t over-use Stampin’ Dimensionals. Thank you for listening. Here’s the card I’m happy to share with you today:
My card features a sentiment, two stockings and a sweet holly – all of these elements are pulled from the Tidings & Trimmings Bundle that’s featured in Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog. Here’s a look at this incredible bundle:
The Polished Pink stockings are framed with Mossy Meadow and Polished Pink on this cardfront. While I don’t showcase the paper here, my color combination was pulled from the Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper in Stampin’ Up!’s July – December 2021 Mini Catalog. Polished Pink and Mossy Meadow look AMAZING together, and I adore the unexpected pink for a standout Christmas card. If you like this combination of Basic White, Polished Pink and Mossy Meadow as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
The Basic White panel at the center of my card is cropped with the Stitched Rectangle Die in the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder and Dies. I also added a touch of Poppy Parade with the berries on my holly – did you notice that? Here’s a closer look:
The Designer Series Paper behind the focal panels on this card is a gorgeous panel of Mossy Meadow with tiny Pear Pizzazz dots that I pulled from the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper, a pack of papers from last year’s Holiday Mini that returned for this year’s Holiday Mini. I love the colors and patterns in this pack of papers and know they’ll be used outside of the Christmas Holidays. Here’s a look at the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper:

AWWW ….love this card . It is so cute ! Love love the colors because they are so fresh and a change from traditional ones !
You should do a video on using proper placement of the Dimensionals .
That would be helpful to a lot of us !
Pink and green is my third favorite color combo (after navy/caramel and navy/Kelly green). It’s such a happy pair.
I loooooove how you popped that pink in there! And you being of the king of layers, of course the answer was never! 🙂 Great card!
DARLING card my friend. I want that pink socking for Christmas…..TOO FUN! And I totally agree with you NEVER can you have too much dimension.
Fab card today Brian (as always)! The pop of pink really took this one out of the ballpark and the addition of the holly berries and leaves – well,
that was genius. Thanks for sharing.
When I stamp with my grandson, who is 4 and 1/2 years old his absolute favorite thing is the sticky glue dots.. He loves to cut things out and then stick them to the wall in his room!!
9 layers or not, this is an outstanding card! Love the colors, and the layering is excellent! beautiful!
That pink is fabulous!!!!
