Before I share today’s projects, I have to admit to yesterday’s unintentional Halloween trick I played on you. With my detailed write up of the new Eden’s Garden products, I mentioned the collection would be released on November 1. The products are not released today – instead, they will be available November 2. Everything in the promotion says November 2, but I guess I was too excited about it and acted hastily. I edited my post but wanted to mention it here so you’d see the update. ♥
On Saturday I hosted my monthly Zoom call with my Paper Pumpkin customers – during our Pumpkin in the Fungeon call, I share some fun ideas with the items included in the monthly kit, and my customers share their brilliant ideas. It’s always such fun to see what others are making and to spend that time with my customers who participate. I host a similar call with my InKing Royalty team members to share with them, too. Can’t wait to see what they make!
Today I’m sharing some alternative projects with this months’ Peaceful Christmas kit – a card kit with beautiful trees and great Christmas sentiments. Here’s a look a the finished projects from the October 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit:
Aren’t those gorgeous cards?! While this kit made some really beautiful cards, I played around with the elements of the kit to make cards of my own.
Two from One
The middle set of cards above showcase a beautiful snow scene like the ones in the Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Series Paper. The Basic Gray and Basic Black patterns have a touch of white and a touch of silver foil. The card base has patterns on both sides, so I used them to create TWO cards (each also 8-1/2″ x 11″) on Basic Gray bases. I cropped one panel with Stitched Rectangles Dies and layered it over a Basic White. I layered three of the vellum trees, gray block and silver Noel over a Pool Party circle on the second card. Here’s a look:
Noel Note Card
I loved the Pool Party so much with the grays and know how wonderful it looks with greens, so I used a panel of Pool Party with several elements from the kit to make this note card:
On this card, I layered all of the vellum trees behind the buffalo check circle. I also added one of the sparkly embellishments to balance everything on the circle. I cut the buffalo check flap off one of the Shaded Spruce envelopes and adhered it to the inside flap of my note card envelope (it already has the sticky strip on it, so I’m good to go)!
Peaceful Christmas Wishes
After I had cropped the flap off my envelope to use in my first card, I used the rest of the envelope to create a strip for another note card. I added stars to the sky with my Starlit Punch, cropping them from the scraps from the Noel die cuts. Such a beautiful strip of trees – they are beautiful on the envelope or on the face of the card. I stamped trees from the coordinating stamp set on the lower, left side of my note card envelope. I do love the coordination!
I had loads of fun with this month’s kit and made a couple of other cards and tags that I shared with my customers during our call. Such fun to connect with them and see what they’ve made, too!
