I shared a Fall-themed card yesterday with a variety of products from Stampin’ Up!’s Harvest Meadow Suite (you can see that card here). That’s totally expected since the products in this suite are all designed around the Autumn season. While all of the products were on my craft desk, I challenged myself to make a project with these products that IS NOT Fall-themed. Here’s the nautical card I made with products from the Harvest Suite (and pulled in some other products from Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog to finish it out):
From my first look at the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper, I thought this Calypso Coral pattern looked more like coral than tree branches (maybe it’s because I was raised on the ocean?). That’s when I knew I wanted to build an ocean-themed card that starts with this panel of paper. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper (the pattern I used on my card is the third one shown below):
Not only is the page Calypso Coral, but it also looks like coral, doesn’t it? Here’s how I built the scene at the heart of my card (starting with the Harvest Meadow Base and working my way up to the fish):
- I cropped a Pool Party Circle (the largest in the collection of Layering Circles Dies).
- I cropped a smaller circle with Calypso Coral cardstock and then ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine again with the tree/branch die from the Harvest Dies (shown below). Careful to keep the spacing of the “coral” correct, I added Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the Calypso Coral circle and popped it up on the Pool Party Circle.
- I cropped two fish with the Sea Life Dies (also shown below) and popped them up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Cute, right?
The “coral” branch is cropped with the tree/branch die from the Harvest Dies, part of the Nature’s Harvest Bundle and beautifully coordinates with the pattern in the paper beneath it.
Here’s a look at the Nature’s Harvest Bundle, new in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2021 Mini Catalog:
The fish are cropped with the Sea Life Dies, part of the Seascape Bundle, one of the first bundles showcased in Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog. While there’s actually a beautiful coral die in this bundle, I liked the simplicity of the tree/branch in the Harvest Dies for this project. The fish were a perfect accent for my ocean-y card. Here’s a look at the Seascape Bundle:
The sentiment on my card was pulled from the Whale Done stamp set – I’ve added a link to that super-fun set in the product listing below.
You know I love playing with gorgeous colors. I am in love with this combination of coral and a mix of beautiful blues. If you like this mix of Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Misty Moonlight as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
Stamp Sets: Whale Done Papers: Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper, Pool Party, Misty Moonlight, Calypso Coral, Basic White Inks: Misty Moonlight Accessories: Harvest Dies, Sea Life Dies, Layering Circles Dies, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, Stampin’ Dimensionals
What do you think? Could you love that paper any more than you already do?! It’s certainly a keeper!
