Retiring Soon – Words of Cheer & Heartwarming Hugs

First Things First

Before I share the card I’ve made for you today, I want to make sure you know about everything that rolled out yesterday. It was a big day, but there’s still time to take advantage of the deals Stampin’ Up! is offering. Here’s what kicked off yesterday:

  • Clearance Rack Refresh. The Clearance Rack has been updated with some amazing products at incredible discounts. Be sure to check out these while-supplies-last products today! You can’t beat the deals in the Clearance Rack. You have to see these products to believe the discounts – click on the image below:
  • Last Chance Products Sale. Stampin’ Up!’s Last Chance Sale (retiring products from the July – December 2021 Mini Catalog) starts today. If you’ve had you eye on some of these goodies, then now is the time to act – they might not be there tomorrow.

I get so nervous that you’ll miss out – I never want you to be unhappy. I don’t want to hear that you missed out on the papers that were loaded into the Clearance rack or the set of dies you really wanted from the Last Chance Sale. When these items are gone, they are gone.

Today’s Card with Christmas Cheer Dies

I love so many of Stampin’ Up!’s products, and I love to play with a wide variety of styles in stamps and dies. Occasionally, a bundle comes along that I can hardly put down. I’ve used the Words of Cheer stamp set and coordinating Christmas Cheer Dies so many time since they first made their way to my house – I can’t seem to NOT use them. I’ve used the “happy” dies many times and the stamp set images/sentiments more than I can count. I hadn’t showcased the “cheer” dies, so I got to work last night. Here’s my card:

My card features two beloved products that are retiring in Stampin’ Up!’s Last Chance Sale – the Words of Cheer Bundle and the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper. I love both! BUT I don’t want you to buy the Words of Cheer Bundle! You do need both of these amazing products, but you save $12.25 over the bundled price when you buy them separately (since the dies are marked 50% off). Here’s a little graphic I created for you:

Words of Cheer Build-a-Bundle, Stampin Up!, Brian KingEvery time I have used the Christmas Cheer Dies, I have wondered why there are six stars in the mix. I can stretch my brain to see where stars fit with a Christmas motif, but I never really thought they fit this set. I decided to look closer at the samples in the catalog – that’s when I realized … the stars are flowers! Inspired by a sample in the catalog, I used the Christmas Cheer Dies to build three poinsettias along my sentiment:

Each flower layers two “large stars,” followed by one white dot and then topped with a “small star.” I layered a pair of holly leaves below each flower and added a few additional leaves along the rest of the sentiment. My card features two gorgeous green panels from the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper. This pack of papers came out last year in the 2020 Holiday Catalog and returned in 2021, but it’s retiring on January 3 or when supplies run out. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this retiring pack of papers:

Here are the products I used on this card:

Papers: Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper, Mossy Meadow, Real Red, Pear Pizzazz, Basic White  Accessories: Christmas Cheer Dies, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, Stampin’ Dimensionals
