We are supposed to see snow today in Atlanta – it’s a rare event, so I wanted to memorialize the day with a bright, cheery, flowery project. Designer Series Paper is a great place to start when I am making a card. The Flowering Fields Design Series Papers are filled with brilliant colors and beautiful patterns, which gave me a great platform to build the card I’m sharing with you today. Here’s my simple, but beautiful, card:
This card started with the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper – this gorgeous filed of tulips needed to be showcased, and it worked perfectly with the Poppy Parade panel with white dots. I knew I’d pair them together for a sweet card. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper:
The sentiment on this card says it all – “being awesome is just your thing.” I love it! It’s pulled from the Happy & Heartfelt stamp set (found on page 51 of the January – June 2022 Mini Catalog), which deserves a quick look. I love the handwritten sentiments in this set – not only is the font amazing, but the variety of sentiments is out-of-this-world. Here’s a look at this must-stamp set:
I added three wraps of the Poppy Parade and white baker’s twine from the Fan Baker’s Twine before adding the super-fun sentiment to this cardfront – such an easy way to add texture to a simple card.
Here’s a closer look at the sentiment, backed with the papers and coordinating twine:
Here are the measurements for the pieces on this card, starting with the base of my card and working my way up to the sentiment:
- Poppy Parade – 4-1/4″ x 11″ (scored at 5-1/2″)
- Stampin’ Dimensionals

Good morning, Brian!
The wind is whipping around the house here in SW Florida.
There are small craft warnings and thankfully, some rain is predicted.
From last night’s weather report, there is lots of treacherous weather in many other parts of the country.
How lovely to open your blog post and see such a bright and lovely card! You are right about the stamp set! The font is delightful and such great sentiments. Thanks, Brian! Keep warm and stay inside today if you can!
Happy Hello Brian,
Your card is gorgeous! I seriously don’t think any card made with this pack of paper could be just ok, it’s a total winner. The flowers look like a garden everyone wishes they had. Great job in paring the dotted DSP.
Beautiful card Brian! Stay warm today ❄️🥶❄️
Great job “bringing it” for spring. Love the patterns and that classy sentiment.
My patio looks like a giant ICE CUBE and snow is coming later (they say )
Looks like Winter has arrived ! So seeing those bright and cheerful colors is most welcome and you made me want that Happy and Heartfelt stamp set !!!
Pretty card !
I love this bright, cheery card, Brian. The DSPs, twine, and sweet sentiment really make it shine. Stay warm. It was 10 but felt like 4 when we awoke. Enjoy your day!
It’s all relative, isn’t it? It’s -6 with a windchill of -29 here. (No skiing with the Grands today!) At least your card warmed things up—so bright and cheerful. I love that sentiment stamp set, too. A cheery way to push back against winter’s ravages. TFS
Gotta LOVE IT when you get snow! Your card really brings us back to ‘Spring’ through all this crazy weather. TFS!
Thay is a bright and cheerful card…Poppy Parade is always cheerful! Love it paired with the DSP.
My friends down south are all getting snow – LOL So I should make them all cards like this just to cheer them up. Here in Maine we are used to it and most of us love it. The papers in the Flowering Fields DSP warms us up just looking at it. I love today’s card Brian.
I really like this card today Brian! It’s so fresh and bright. You made some great paper choices that are so cheery. I’m keeping this paper collection and sentiment group on my radar. Thanks for the inspiration.
