Greetings, Kind Human

As a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator who wants to sell lots of great products to amazing customers, I can maximize my efforts by focusing on expensive bundles and collections. Why, then, am I showcasing a $21 stamp set for the second time on my blog? Because I love it! On its face, the Nuts & Bolts stamp set seems like a childish set I wouldn’t love, but these robots and clever sentiments have stolen my heart. Here’s my card I made with the Nuts & Bolts stamp set and Simply Marbleous 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper:

Nuts and Bolts, Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, Brian King

The Nuts & Bolts stamp set makes me so happy – it’s perfect for cards that celebrate birthdays, offer Valentine’s Day greetings or send thanks. Don’t pass by this set without looking at these adorable robots and coordinating sentiments. If you’d like to see the other card I made with this set, CLICK HERE. Here’s a look at the Nuts & Bolts stamp set (found on page 13 of Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2022 Mini Catalog):

Nuts and Bolts, Stampin Up!, 157650Could this “greetings, kind human” sentiment be any sweeter?! What a wonderful way to say “thank you” to someone special! You can almost hear the adorable robot (with an adorable underbite) offering the greeting, right?

The Simply Marbleous 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper is just one of the Sale-a-Bration items you can choose for free when you make a $50 purchase. This pack of papers includes 48 pages (8 each of six double-sided designs). One side of each page features a marble print, and one side of each page features a silky print. So much texture in these papers! Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this pack of papers:

Simply Marbelous Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 158128My card features three designs from two sheets in this pack of papers – a marbled piece of Blushing Bride paper and both sides (marbled and satin) of a Basic Gray piece. The gray satin design gives a perfect outer-space backdrop for this sweet robot. The robot is paper-pieced with the marbled side of the same paper.

Nuts and Bolts, Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, Brian KingHere’s how I paper pieced this robot:

  • I stamped the robot on the three pieces of the Simply Marbleous 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink – once on the marbled piece of Basic Gray paper, once on the satin piece of Basic Gray paper and once on the marbled piece of Blushing Bride paper.
  • I snipped the stamped pieces (robot head, robot body, robot hands and robot feet) from the marbled piece of Basic Gray paper.
  • I snipped the flower/gear from the marbled Blushing Bride piece.
  • I glued the snipped pieces to the image on the satin Basic Gray page. I didn’t snip out the little antennae, arms, legs and flower stem because those look fine on the stamped base.

While I normally pair Blushing Bride with warm browns, I adore this mix of the soft pink with these grays. If you like this mix of Blushing Bride, Smoky Slate and Basic Gray as much as I do (the mix is both sweet and sophisticated), I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
