Happy to Have You in My Life

I’d like to kick off today’s post with a quick question – can you believe it’s February?! When did that happen?! Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so I want to make sure you are prepared to make festive and fun cards and boxes and bags for your loved ones. A great starting point is the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper and Sweet Conversations Bundle – if you don’t have them, you may want to (quickly) take a look so you are prepared for the big day. Here’s a card I made with these new products:

Sweet Conversations, Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, Brian King, Valentine cardThere are so many great pages in the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper – there are bright, fun and romantic pages that are perfect for any Valentine’s Day projects (and beyond). I pulled three panels from this pack of papers that are soft and sweet – I love this combination of colors and patterns. Here’s a look at all of the colors and patterns in the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper:

Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 157616I used the first page on the top row and the second and last page on the bottom row. See?! There are soft pages in this (otherwise) bright-and-cheery pack. While each of the three panels are 5″ tall on my card, the layers are 3-3/4″ wide, 3-1/4″ wide and 2-3/4″ wide. Together they showcase these papers very well, don’t you think?

While I only used the sentiment from the Sweet Conversations stamp set (and it’s a good one!) on this card, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed playing with this entire bundle. Here’s a look at the Sweet Conversations Bundle, which includes the Sweet Conversations photopolymer stamp set and coordinating Sweet Heart Dies:

Sweet Conversations Bundle, Stampin Up! 157624I stamped the “happy to have you in my life” sentiment with Highland Heather ink on the marbled panel from the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper and cropped it with my Heart Punch Pack. Instead of positioning the heart straight up-and-down on the card, I tilted it a little to the side so that it would coordinated with the hearts in the panel of hearts behind it.

  3. Total valentine sweetness!

  4. The perfect card, for romance or friendship. A gem!

  5. I love how you’ve used the DSP. I struggle with it and either just cover the card front or just skip it. But you’ve really shown it off. Great card. The whole suite can’t be ordered right now but the only thing out of stock are the embellishments. Those are easily substituted.

I’ve been following you for quite a while and you never fail to inspire me. Thank you so much for sharing your great works.

  6. I love this sweet card, Brian, with all the layers of pretty DSP. Enjoy your day!

  7. Brian, love the soft, sweet colors on your card, those little hearts remind me of when my daughters were little and they brought Valentines from school, I used to get those hearts for them to give away too.
Lovely papers, my dear, thank you for sharing.
    Stay healthy and safe.
    XO

  8. Right? January went by so fast but it is my birthday month so I am not complaining! Always love your layers and this paper is layered perfectly here!

  9. Well a Happy Birthday to you Wendy!

What’s not to love about this card but I think the best part is the stamp. What a great saying to let all your friends know how much you care for them. The soft colors in the DSP are like a warm hug! Love it!

  10. Back at ya! Love this card. You just have a wonderful way of putting DSP together.

  11. This card is happy! So colorful and cheery!
