I’m excited to share a colorful treat with you today – a slimline card with a mix of gorgeous tones AND an amazing sentiment die. The combination of the two makes me very happy. I had a lot of fun making this card, and I hope you like it as much as I do. Here’s a look at my colorful card:
If you’ve not been introduced to slimline cards before, they are all the rage in card making! These tall, slender card fronts measure 3-1/5″ x 8-1/2 (the full card is 7″ x 8-1/2″) – and Stampin’ Up!’s Slim Card Dies give us some great cutouts to quickly and easily build these cards. These dies are sold individually or at 10% with the Slim Sayings Bundle, which also includes the Slim Sayings stamp set. Here’s a look at the Slim Saying Bundle:
I cropped my card front with the bottom die shown above. I cropped the base with Night of Navy and glued it to a 8-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ Coastal Cabana panel. I then cropped the die from Polished Pink and Bumblebee cardstock and pulled the negatives to fill in the pattern on my first panel.

The sentiment on my card is a mix of “you’re” from the Create with Friends stamp set and a pair of “amazing” dies from the Amazing Thanks Dies. I looove this set of dies and know you’ll love them, too! Here’s a closer look at that sentiment:

Thank you for showcasing the overlay dies; let’s hope SU continues to expand our offerings of stamps and dies for this size card. Basic white and vanilla envelopes as a staple, too.
That said, this is such an iconic BK project, from distinct color combo to layering to layout to mashups of disparate sources for each design element. Just love it. Impossible not to grin seeing something like this. Way to kick off the weekend! 😉
