Welcome to the Candy Hearts Blog Hop for March! Today we are sharing projects with a Spring theme. After reading my post, I hope you will hop to the next person on the list below. Be sure to hop around to see ALL the great projects the Candy Hearts have created for you!
Celebrate You Every Day
I’ve created a bright-and-cheery card for today’s hop with a beautiful mix of bright yellow (Daffodil Delight) and soft green (Pear Pizzazz). Is there anything better to pull us out of the Winter blues than a trio of bright yellow flower? Here’s my card for today’s hop:
The flowers at the heart of my card are stamped with the Daffodil Daydream cling stamp set and cropped with the coordinating Daffodil Dies. Together, the bundle is available with a 10% discount – what a deal! Here’s a look at the Daffodil Daydream Bundle:
I stamped the flowers on Daffodil Delight cardstock with Versamark ink. I sprinkled that with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heated it with my Heat Tool. I colored the flowers with a Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend and colored the leaves with Light Soft Sea Foam. I love the subtle color that pops from the yellow card base. I cropped the flowers with the Daffodil Dies.
I framed the flowers with a gorgeous page from the Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper. Can we please talk about how gorgeous these pages are?! You might see waves one day and a beautiful, abstract backdrop on another. Here’s a look at the gorgeous colors and patterns in this versatile pack of papers:
The sentiment, pulled from the Celebrating You stamp set, is heat embossed on Pear Pizzazz and cropped with a great label from the Swallows Dies, part of the Soaring Swallows Bundle. It gave me the balance of color I wanted on my card. Here’s a closer look:

Bright and cheery indeed! Such a lovely card. Love the layers
A beautiful card.
This may just be my all-time favorite card that you have made in the many, many years I’ve been following you! Love the subtle coloring-I don’t think I would have ever start by stamping the flowers on yellow. I also love the sentiment -the shape is great and great color! It is such a happy card!
Brian, I can’t wait to see my brave Daffodils peek out of the cold ground, your card is warm and beautiful and full of the promise of Spring.
Thank you for sharing.
XO
Stay healthy and safe.
Wow! Gorgeous with the embossed daffodils!
Love the embossing and coloring on colored card stock as opposed to basic white. Whole. New. Level. Super card!
Wow on those flowers! Thanks for the inspiration. I am doing that this week! So cool! Awesome card!
This card is STUNNING Brian.
Gorgeous card, Brian. I love all the elements you included. I took a look at all the Blog Hoppers’ cards and they are all beautiful. I’m so inspired to get to my craft table. Enjoy your day!
I love this so much, Brian!!! So cheerful! Great color choices!!
Did the HOP ! Enjoyed seeing everyone`s creations . Your card is a burst of SPRING !! I love Daffodils .
I really enjoy seeing how you take several products, and combine them to make such beautiful cards! Swallow dies? I didn’t even see these in the catalog. That sentiment fits perfectly inside the little label. And the DSP is a perfect backdrop for that gorgeous daffodil!
Love that label die! Beautiful card Brian!
Oh Brian, this card is absolute perfection. Love the colors and layout. Just beautiful!
