Sending Sunshine with Good Feelings

A while back, I told you how I had colored a detailed panel of the All Together 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper but then edited it out of the project I was working on. OK, so that was yesterday. Well, I used that paper on the card I’m sharing with you today – it was perfect for the sentiment I’m showcasing on it. Here’s my card:

Here’s a look at the Good Feelings stamp set, new in Stampin’ Up!’s 2022 Annual Catalog. I received it during Stampin’ Up!’s online catalog reveal for demonstrators and couldn’t be happier. I love the big sentiments – they are filled with happiness. I’m also excited that you can order the set when Stampin’ Up!’s new catalog goes live on May 3. Here’s a look at Good Feelings:

As you already know from reading my introduction (you read it, right?), I colored a black-and-white piece of the All Together 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to build the backdrop on this card. The panel I colored is the sixth pattern on the top row below:

I love black-and-white papers because I can add my own colors when and where I want (but I’m also not obligated to do so). I colored each of the tiny leaves in this panel of paper with my Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Marker. Since I knew I would have a panel in the middle, I didn’t color those (I had originally anticipated a much smaller panel on top, so I colored more than I needed to – nothing wrong with a little extra coloring time):

When I set out to make today’s card, I already had the Pool Party base, Pear Pizzazz layer and All Together 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper that make up the base of the card. The focal panel, which I popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals, is built with proportionate dimensions to the base of the card for (what I think is) a soothing look. Here are the dimensions of the layers on this card, starting with the base and working up to the sentiment:

• Pool Party – 4-1/4″ x 11″ (scored at 5-1/2″)
