I love to celebrate big milestones with my InKing Royalty Team Members. While I love to recognize my team members who achieve sales milestones or promote to higher levels in their demonstrator journeys, I really love to honor those who stick around for a long time. I call them my Loyal Royals. When Royals reach a 5-year anniversary, I have a sweet gift I send them. I recently sent two gifts that were wrapped with some gorgeous, new papers. I won’t share the gift, but I’m excited to show you the packaging:
I layered three Starry Sky pieces of the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper on this (now retired) Mini Pizza Box. It’s not super-flashy, but there’s no denying how beautiful these papers are – here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper:
I love the mix of gray and blue in this pack of papers, but I really, really love the blues (Night of Navy, Pacific Pint and Starry Sky share the stage in this mix of blues). The blue/purple tones of Starry Sky, though, are amazing in a watercolored look. Every effort to add another color was thwarted by how rich and beautiful Starry Sky looked without other colors. ♥
The sentiment on the front of the box (from the Color & Contour stamp set) says exactly what I wanted to say with this gift – “You’re absolutely amazing.” It helps that the font style is also amazing. I heat embossed the sentiment on Starry Sky cardstock with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and cropped it with the coordinating Scalloped Contour Dies. The white paper behind the scalloped rectangle help to accentuate the holes in the design of the die.
Behind the sentiment, I layered two pieces of the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper (one with dots and one with stripes) as a backdrop for the sentiment. behind those panels, I stamped an image from the Natural Prints stamp set with Starry Sky on the gorgeous paper. The image adds a small texture to the project without taking away from the sentiment.
I love Starry Sky – it was a centerpiece of the projects in the last Super-Awesome Fun Time Card Kit, and this is not the first project I’ve shared with a monochromatic nod to Starry Sky. Here’s a look at a card I shared a couple of weeks ago (you can click on the picture below to see my original post for this project):
There’s more Starry Sky inside the gift box, too! Tomorrow I’ll share the 3″ x 3″ card I put inside the gift.
