Positively the Greatest for the InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Many of my Stampin’ Up! team members (not only those with blogs) share their gorgeous projects in our team’s Facebook community – there’s such amazing and inspiring creativity in this group! I’m always excited when my team’s blog hop rolls around, though, because I get to share some of their amazing work with you. I’m just as excited to see their projects as you are, and I am proud to share them with you.

06-22 - InKing Royalty Blog Hop - Red White and Blue

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s June Blog Hop! As we prepare for the July 4 holiday ahead, we are sharing projects that celebrate the Red, White & Blue. Not all projects will be patriotic, but you are certain to be inspired by all of them. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Positively the Greatest

Today’s “Red, White and Blue” theme gives us so many reasons to make a patriotic card, a July 4th picnic invitation or a fun holder for sparklers. As someone who likes to take “the path less taken,” I set out to make a thank you card for an awesome friend. After playing around with a few elements, I found my way back to “the path mostly taken” – stars, stripes and celebration. I ended with a very patriotic card that doubles as a celebratory card for my friend. Here’s my card:

Rays of Light, Cottage Rose, Stampin Up!, Brian KingFor starters, I stamped the beams of light (or patriotic stripes) with Sweet Sorbet ink on Basic White cardstock. Here’s a look at the Rays of Light background stamp set, new in Stampin’ Up!’s 2022 Annual Catalog:

Ray of Light Background Stamp, Stampin Up!, 158925The sentiment on my card, perfect to celebrate my friend or our country, is from the Cottage Rose stamp set, part of the Cottage Rose Bundle – this sentiment is just one (of many) reasons to take a look at this gorgeous bundle:

Cottage Rose Bundle, Stampin Up! 159048So many stitches! There are several elements on my card with subtle stitching – and I love them all! Here’s a closer look at all three on my card:

Rays of Light, Cottage Rose, Stampin Up!, Brian KingAnd here’s a rundown of the dies I used to created the stitched edges on these elements:

  • Stitched Rectangles Dies (rectangle)
  • Give it a Whirl Dies (stars)
  • Stylish Shapes Dies (circle)

Stamp Sets:  Rays of Light, Cottage Rose  Papers: Pacific Point, Thick Basic White, Basic White  Inks: Sweet Sorbet, Pacific Point  Accessories: Stitched Rectangles Dies, Give it a Whirl Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
