It’s been quite a week! At the kickoff of our “stay-cation” last weekend, we unloaded closets and emptied cabinets to begin a full re-organization of everything in the house. All things were cleared out from under the beds and all other hiding places over the house. Everything had been unloaded into the living room and hallway for the kickoff of sorting and re-organization when it happened. As soon as everything was unloaded (a total and complete mess), the air conditioner decided to stop delivering cool air. With 100 degree temperatures in Atlanta this week, our Spring cleaning came to a hard stop. It would have been more tolerable if that had happened BEFORE everything was unpacked into the house. Maybe.
I made a card today with a sentiment I’ve whispered under my breath a lot this week – “everything will be OK.” Here’s the card I made:
The sentiment is pulled from the Charming Sentiments Bundle, a new bundle of amazing sentiments in Stampin’ Up!’s 2022 Annual Catalog. Not only are there dies to closely cut out each of the sentiments in the set, but there are some other great elements in the set of dies (like hearts, stars, candles and bows). Here’s a look at this incredible bundle:
Stampin’ Up!’s Sun Prints Suite Collection (including the Nature’s Prints Bundle, Sun Prints Designer Series Paper and Fern 3D Embossing Folder) has been very popular with my customers. That’s totally understandable because this collection of beautiful, floral images, wonderful sentiments and gorgeous colors was my first “must-have” from the new catalog.
In fact, the first time I showcased the Charming Sentiments Bundle, I paired it with some gorgeous pages from the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper. Here’s that card (you can click on the card below to see my original post for this project):
Anyhow, there’s another pack of papers that coordinates with this suite – I used the Pretty Prints Designer Series Paper on the project I shared today. Here’s a look at the Pretty Prints Designer Series Paper, which includes 12 sheets (four each of three designs):
I layered my sentiment (stamped with Calypso Coral ink on Thick Basic White) on a Petal Pink heart (cropped with the Heart Punch Pack) and then on a label cropped from Calypso Coral with the Natural Prints Dies. This is such a beautiful label! I ran a piece of white baker’s twine around the front panel behind the sentiment and tied them in the middle to angle the twine in a fun way. Here’s a closer look:
Bundles: Charming Sentiments Stamp Sets: Charming Sentiments Papers: Pretty Prints Designer Series Paper, Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, Thick Basic White Inks: Calypso Coral Accessories: Sentiment Silhouettes Dies, Heart Punch Pack, Natural Prints Dies, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today!

This is simply gorgeous in layers of Calypso Coral
Thanks, Mary! I really love the patterns in this paper – some great colors in the pack. Glad you like it.
Hi Brian
That’s a beautiful card! Love the layout and color!
Thanks for sharing your great ideas
Thanks so much, Dawn! I’m so happy to share and appreciate you kind feedback. ♥
Wow this is gorgeous! You make me want everything you post! And I would melt like the wicked witch of the west in that heat!
It’s been SO HOT here, Linda – but I think you’d melt like a sweet Popsicle vs. a wicked witch. ♥
Yikes! I hope your a/c gets fixed soon. Beautiful card!
Thanks so much, Marilyn! ♥ I failed to end my post with “it was restored Wednesday night,” so things are OK here as the heat goes. ♥
What a nightmare! Hope the a/c is running again and everything IS okay! But a great card was inspired, that’s for sure.
Thanks, Barbara! It’s all back now, so we’re comfortable in our home again. 🙂 Glad you like the card and hope you are doing well. ♥
Absolutely gorgeous card. One the prettiest you’ve made.
Thank you so much, Paula! The gorgeous DSP did most of the work. ♥
This is a stunning card. Sorry about your week.
Thanks so much, Maureen! ♥
The Calypso Coral shade of Pretty Prints is gorgeous. Your card is stunning!! What a week you’ve had! I hope your weekend will be better.
Thanks so much, Hilda! The week has been rough, but I have high hopes for the weekend. 🙂 Thanks so much! ♥
Oh my Brian! When it rains it pours, I hope all is well now. And I am amazed you were able to post this pretty card for us with all that happening! Thank you for brightening my day! I have been going through similar with a home redo. But the bright side is when you are done, home will feel even sweeter!
Thanks, Susan! You are right – once the air was restored, our energy levels were restored. 🙂 Hope your home renovation is going well. ♥
Sorry Brian, hope you were able to get quick fix appliances always seen to break exactly when needed.
Thanks, Roxy! The air went out on Sunday, and it was restored Wednesday night. Not sure I could have taken much more of it. 🙂
Oh no!!!!! Sorry for your inspiration, but really like the card it produced.👍. Hopeful everyone is cooler now .
Thanks, Dianne! People are going through FAR worse than what I’ve gone through with our air, but it was still no fun. 🙂 All is good again. ♥
Wow! Crazy fun colours, but it makes a beautiful card
Yikes Brian, you are a trooper to make a beautiful project in the mist of no air. In my senior years, my tolerance for being over-heated has a short fuse. 🥵
Flip side, reorganizing, decluttering is refreshing when it’s done. Good for you!
Thanks, Katrina! I’m behind on a lot of my goals (home and business) because of this inconvenience, but I’ll make it. Made some progress on the cleanup after the air was restored, and that feels amazing! ♥
So sorry about your AC. It gets very hot in the south without it. Hopefully by now it is fixed. Your cards are awesome and inspire me. Thank you. Florence Miller
Thank you so much for your kind message, Florence! It hit 100 this week and 85 in the house. We made it through it all and have cool air again. Phew! ♥
Well, I’m sorry about your air conditioner, but you’d never know it…this card is WAY COOL! 🙂 Absolutely gorgeous, my friend. Be cool (as you always are) and keep on inspiring us. I’m getting this bundle for sure.
You’re the best, Bobbi! Thanks so much, my friend. The air was restored, and things are comfortable again. ♥
I am so impressed with your effort in creating a card during such a stressful time! I hope you’ve been able to get your air conditioning back and are doing much better. As for the cleaning endeavor, you will get it done eventually so I hope you don’t stress over it too much.
Thanks so much, Sharon! When the air was restored, it took a while to cool the house down. Once it started moving that way, we made great progress in the de-cluttering efforts. Feels good to get ahead of that. ♥ I appreciate your message.
Stunning popped into my head when I saw this. Love everything about this. Glad you got your air working again…good luck on the de cluttering. I really need to do this too. LOL
