Endlessly Grateful for a Wonderful World

You know how much I love Designer Series Papers, right? Sometimes, we can’t know the beauty of a pack of papers until we hold those papers in our hands. When I first saw the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper, part of the Wonderful World Bundle in Stampin’ Up!’s July-August 2022 Sale-a-Bration brochure, I rated it a “solid pass.” I didn’t love the colors or the patterns in this pack of papers and didn’t give the bundle another look…until I added it to an order just to fill the form for a freebie. As soon as I was able to flip through the pages in person, though, the flowers came to life! The purples, pinks, greens and yellows were richer and more vibrant than I had originally judged them to be. I was wrong – these pages are beautiful! Once my perspective was flipped (and I pulled myself off the floor), I couldn’t wait to play with these pages. Here’s a card I made with three patterns in this pack of beautiful papers:

The Wonderful World Bundle includes the Wonderful World Cling Stamp Set and Wonderful World Designer Series Paper. The bundle can be selected for free with a $100 order during Stampin’ Up!’s July-August Sale-a-Bration. If you love flowers and/or beautiful colors, I hope you’ll give this bundle another look:

Wonderful World Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 159918As I mentioned above, I used three of the pages from this bundle on my simple, layered card. Here’s a closer look at each:

The flowers that are the focal point of my card are snipped from a page of beautiful flowers. I roughly cropped around the flowers on this page and then carefully snipped these flowers with my paper snips. I left a tiny, white border around my design to highlight the images. Here’s a closer look at this page of paper from the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper:

Wonderful World Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, 159918To accent the yellow at the center of the flower from the first page, I added a band of yellow stripes to my (otherwise) pink and purple card. The yellow gives my snipped flowers a bright, beautiful base so they can really shine on this card. Here’s a closer look at this page from the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper:

Wonderful World Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, 159918Between the Rich Razzleberry base of my card and the Rich Razzleberry focal panel of my card, I added a Flirty Flamingo panel of paper that pulls the pink from the snipped flowers. Here’s a closer look at this page from the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper:

Wonderful World Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, 159918These beautiful colors and patterns were so easy to work with – it was easy to build the layers on this card with the coordinating colors. Even though Rich Razzleberry isn’t featured in any of the three pieces I used on this card, the rich color coordinates so well with the other patterns. I am grateful to the papers for the color inspiration because I’m not sure I would have ever arrived at this rich purple without the inspiration from the papers.

Very Best Occasions, Wonderful World Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThe sentiment on my card is heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Rich Razzleberry and cropped with the Double Oval Punch, providing me with the third Rich Razzleberry element on my card. The beautiful sentiment is pulled from the Very Best Occasions Cling Stamp Set, new in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2022 Mini Catalog and part of the Very Best Occasions Bundle. Here’s a look at this incredible stamp set, which is bundled with the Very Best Trio Punch (which I didn’t use in this project). Here’s a look at this new bundle:

It works so well with Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo (two colors I use a lot). If you like this mix of Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Rich Razzleberry as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:

  1. Well worth the paper snipping!

Brian, this DSP is absolutely gorgeous, and it’s perfect for paper snipping, you did a wonderful job cutting up this sweet flower and, as always, your way to frame your main image is second to none.
    Thank you for sharing.
    Stay healthy and safe.

  4. I really like this paper…the flowers are so pretty and there is purple! 🙂 You did a beautiful job with the snipping and layering. I just made a card with this bundle, too.

  5. Absolutely gorgeous card and you fooled me…..
I thought you stamped and colored the flower! Just goes to show that you could well be an artistic designer for SU’s future DSP designs.

  6. WOW…..Your card is GORGEOUS. I’m not big on fussy cutting….But this card is WORTH IT!

  7. Your fussy cutting is always great, but this is so perfect I thought you’d used a Scan and Cut!
Great use of a “How-the-heck-am-I-going-to-use-THIS-piece-of-DSP?” selection, too. I’m never enamored with larger scale prints, but as usual, you rode to the rescue. Thanks for the inspiration.

  8. Your layers are always so crisp and clean! Beautiful card!
