Today is Labor Day in the United States. Labor Day was established in the late 1800’s to honor the hard work and achievements of America’s labor workers (who typically put in long hours at physically grueling, low-paying jobs). As Labor Day falls at the end of Summer in the United States, we celebrate the holiday with picnics and parades. If you are celebrating today, I hope it’s a wonderful day for you!
I love to collect and use Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Papers. What a great way to find inspiration for our projects! The colors and patterns pair perfectly with other products we love. I was slow to fall in love with the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper, new in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2022 Mini Catalog, but I have really grown to appreciate the beautiful mix of Fall patterns and colors. I’m excited to share a bit more about this pack of papers today.
I often pull my colors right from the Designer Series Papers as a starter. That’s a huge benefit of our Designer Series Papers – they are designed with the amazing shades in our color families, so the pair perfectly with our cardstock, inks and accessories. Here’s a look at the patterns and colors in the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper:
How sweet are these images and colors?! The pack includes Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Merry Merlot and Mossy Meadow. What a wonderful mix of rich colors for Fall!
Inspiration
I have really enjoyed working with the pages in the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper. I love the colors, imagery and patterns in the papers – a great mix for Autumn projects and throughout the year! Here are some of my projects with the pages from the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper (you can click on each photo to read the original post about each project):
There are some really great prints in this pack of papers – these are just some of my favorites. All of these pages are really fun to play with, though, especially when you add other colors to the colors found in the papers. Today I’m going to share a couple more suggestions for pulling these colors right from the patterns in the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper.
Straight from the Papers
These colors are combined from the colors exclusively in this pack of the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper – such a great variety of colors in this pack of papers:
Combined with Other Colors
By adding one other color to the shades in these papers, you can really transform the feel of the pages – or create all new combinations with inspiration from the paper. Here are some color combinations starters that feature two colors from this pack of papers and one color from outside the pack:
By limiting the colors you’ll use in a project (or expanding the colors to those outside a pack of papers), you can really find some beautiful color combinations for our projects.
I hope you find this helpful, I and I hope some of these combinations inspire you. Please save any (or all of these) to Pinterest for future reference.
Thanks for stopping by today!
