Peace Joy and Love with Stampin’ Up!’s Festive Foils

Tomorrow is the last day of Stampin’ Up!’s month-long Weekly Deals Specials. I’ve enjoyed playing with many of the products featured in these temporary sales – today I’m sharing another. The Festive Foils Specialty Papers are a gorgeous collection of foil-printed beauties in three colors – gold, Soft Succulent and Cherry Cobbler – that coordinate with the Lights Aglow Suite. Love it! Here’s a card I made to feature all three of the gorgeous papers:

Inspired Thoughts, Festive Foils, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThere are three colors in this 12″ x 12″ pack (20% off through tomorrow). You’ll think there’s a pierced pattern, but it’s a printed, monochromatic foil on each page. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this pack of papers:

Festive Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 159536I layered my three panels on the same card – they look so great together! Here are the measurements for each of the panels:

  • gold – 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Soft Succulent – 3-1/2″ x 5-1/4″
  • Cherry Cobbler – 3″ x 5-1/4″

I added a snowflake to the center of the Cherry Cobbler panel (cropped from Gold Glimmer Paper with the large snowflake from the Twinkling Lights Dies. At the center of the shiny snowflake is a sentiment stamped with Cherry Cobbler on Thick Basic White and cropped with a Stylish Shapes Die. The sentiment (which I love so much) is from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set in Stampin’ Up!’s 2022 Annual Catalog. Here’s a look at the variety of sentiments in this versatile set:

Inspired Thoughts, Festive Foils, Stampin Up!, Brian KingIf you’ve ever tried to glue or pop up cardstock on glimmer paper, then you know it can be a difficult task. While the glitter stays put on this glimmer paper (it’s the only way I’d use it), it’s difficult to permanently adhere anything to glimmer paper – unless you work with my handy tip: crop the center out of the glimmer piece and add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the panel below the glimmer paper. When you pop the sentiment up over the glimmer paper, the paper doesn’t even touch the glimmer. Score! Here’s a closer look at my glimmer paper before I added my sentiment:

How to layer on top of glimmer paper, Stampin Up!, Brian KingHow fun is that?! I hope you find this little tip helpful!

I hope you’ll pop over to the Weekly Deals to take review the current items and take advantage of these deals before they go away tomorrow. To see more, click on the photo below:
