Love at First Bite

As a child, our family vacations were mostly trips to visit with family. On one occasion, though, Mom and Dad saved up to take us to Disney World – what a treat! If you have ever been to Disney World, you are left with vivid impressions of the experience – you remember very specific things (colors, smells, feelings…that kind of stuff). I have many of those memories, but I vividly remember the beautiful, framed silhouettes outside (and inside) The Haunted Mansion. Some of them came to life – and all of them were beautiful in vintage gray, silver and black. That childhood memory was the starting point for the card I’m sharing with you today – a spooky, but beautiful, silhouette:

I stamped the little vampire from the Scary Cute stamp set over and over with my Stamparatus to ensure a solid black image on Smoky Slate cardstock. How sweet is that scary vampire?!

Here’s a look at the Scary Cute Bundle, a Halloween 2022 must-have:

I framed the silhouette of the vampire with a silver foil frame, cropped with the oval frame in the Fabulous Frames Dies, a stand-alone set of dies in Stampin’ Up!’s 2022 Annual Catalog (it’s not paired with a specific stamp set). Here’s a look at this fun set of dies:

Fabulous Frames Dies, Stampin Up! 159163The focal base of my card is a Basic Black and Basic Gray design from the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper, a mega-pack of 48 pages of 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Papers is a grand variety of colors and designs. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper:

OK, maybe it’s not perfect for birthdays or baby showers, but it’s an elegant combination for almost anything else. If you like the mix of silver foil, Basic Gray and Basic Black as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
