Grateful for You With Soft Seedlings & Painted Pheasant

I just can’t help myself…I didn’t have a lot of time to make the card for today’s blog post, so I set out to make a super-simple card with the Soft Seedlings stamp set. As I sat down, I envisioned one or two layers with soft leaves and a sentiment. As my design moved along (as often happens), more and more layers were added – and I think each of the layers adds something special. Here’s the card I’ve made to share with you today:

There are 11 layers of cardstock on this card (with two layers of Stampin’ Dimensionals. If you only counted 10, you may have missed the double-layer on the sentiment. More on that later. The background panels of leaves are stamped with the Soft Seedlings stamp set, new in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. Here’s a look at this beautiful set:

The sentiment on my card also pulls one of the sentiments from the Soft Seedlings stamp set – “for you” – and combines it with a sentiment from another stamp set. Here’s a closer look at the sentiment on my card, which has been cropped with the oval die from the Fabulous Frames Dies:

I cropped the oval from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and again from Very Vanilla cardstock. I glued them together to thicken them up to pop up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Here’s a look at the Painted Pheasant stamp set that features one of the sentiments on my card:

While I stamped my sentiment and framed my layers with Early Espresso, the soft colors on the panels of the card set a very different tone for a Fall-themed card. If you like this mix of Pale Papaya, So Saffron and Sahara Sand as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
