Spruced Up in Pacific Point

Yesterday I shared a very, very green Christmas card with a pair of trees from the Spruced Up Bundle and a fun technique to create a shiny element on the card. Today’s card is another take on that idea – a similar layout and similar idea but still a different card…and this one’s very, very blue. Here’s my card with a shiny blue Christmas ornament:

A differently-shaped ornament is a fun sidekick for the focal ornament. Here’s a look at the Spruced Up Bundle from Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2022 Mini Catalog:

Spruced Up Bundle, Stampin Up! 159701After I stamped the ornament (and before I cropped it), I covered the image with a strip of packing tape. The tape gives the image a shine that could also be created with Clear Embossing Powder over the entire image, but that would take a lot of time. The packing tape is quick and easy and shiny. Here’s a closer look at the ornament on the card:

The striped pattern at the base of the focal panel is pulled from the Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, and the snowflake-filled pattern is from the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the patterns and colors in this fun pack of papers:
