Peace & Joy with Framed & Festive

Before I share today’s post, I want to give a little nudge – this is your last chance to participate in my Holiday One-for-One Card Swap. I announced it early this year to give you plenty of time, but that might have translated to “I have more time, so I’ll wait” to you. If you want to participate, please get a card in the mail today. ♥ For information about the swap, click on the image below:

2022 Holiday One-for-One Swap

Yesterday I shared one of the three projects I made with my Royals team on Saturday (if you missed it, you can see it here). Today, I’m sharing the second project we made with little kits I mailed out to the participants.

I love a fancy fold, but they aren’t my strong point. The fancy fold I’m sharing today, though, is right up my alley. While it might look like I just cut 1″ off the side of the front of my card, it’s actually crazier than that. I cut 1-1/4″ off the side of the front of my card. Genius! Here’s the second card we made during our Festive Florets Stamp Along:

Framed & Festive, Framed Florets Dies, Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThe base of this card started as a standard 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ before the fanciness happened and I cut 1-1/4″ off the front. Risky, I know.

The sentiment on the front of my card is heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Evening Evergreen cardstock with the Framed & Festive stamp set. Here’s a look at this amazing, limited-time stamp set:

This sentiment is cropped with two of the dies in the Framed Florets Dies, part of an early-release bundle that will also be available in Stampin’ Up!’s January-April 2023 Mini Catalog – but why wait when you can have it now?! Here’s a look at the Framed Florets Bundle, which includes the Framed Florets Photopolymer Stamp Set and Framed Florets Dies:

Framed Florets Bundle, Stampin Up! 162407The Evening Evergreen sentiment is cropped with the die that has florets on the top, bottom and sides, and the frame is cropped with the one shown in the bottom, left corner above. Why cut it with two dies? The oval at the center of the die with four florets is a little larger than the oval at the center of the other die, which means the white frame can be glued directly to the green oval. Yay! I love that coordination!

Framed & Festive, Framed Florets Dies, Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThe outside of my card features a gorgeous panel of berry-filled leaves. I added a 1-1/4″ strip of Soft Succulent paper inside the card (where the front panel overlaps). I right-justified the sentiment inside the card with Evening Evergreen ink. Both pieces of Designer Series Paper on of the limited-release Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper:

The Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls that were originally a part of the Fitting Florets Collection have sold out and won’t be restocked. As such, the Fitting Florets Collection is also retired and can’t be ordered. As of now, the Framed Florets Bundle, Framed & Festive stamp set and Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper are still available. Click on the image below to see all of these items in my online store:

Stamps: Framed & Festive  Papers: Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper, Evening Evergreen, Thick Basic White  Inks: Evening Evergreen, Versamark  Accessories: Framed Florets Dies, White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, Heat Tool, Stampin’ Dimensionals

I’m pretty sure this is a fancy fold everyone can get behind – and that recipients won’t find confusing when they open your card. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today!

Brian
