Love is in the air! Love comes in all shapes and sizes, so there are many styles of Valentine’s Day products to share that love – playful love, romantic love, whimsical love. You wouldn’t send the same card to your husband that you send to you grandchildren or best friend, would you? They all deserve to see the incredible cards you will make for Valentine’s Day, though. ♥ Here’s a card I made with the Love for You Bundle, new in Stampin’ Up!’s January-April 2023 Mini Catalog:
When I first saw this bundle, I thought the thin words were too, too thin to work with. That didn’t stop me from getting it, but I must admit I was wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed playing with the dies in this bundle. Here’s a look at the Love for You Bundle:
There are SO MANY creative ways to layers the words in this bundle – I won’t even begin to list the combinations of words or dies. What I can do (because I’m nice like that) is share how I built the words on my card. Here are the dies I used on my card:
Here’s how I built my sentiment (starting with the base and working my way up):
- The base of the sentiment is cropped with die #1 above. The two-toned, striped paper is Sweet Sorbet and a lighter opacity of the color. To recreate the softer tone, I pulled ink from my Sweet Sorbet ink pad with a Blending Brush.
- I created a white frame for my soft Sweet Sorbet backdrop by nesting die #2 inside die #1 with Thick White cardstock. I glued that frame on the pink background.
- I cropped the three #3 dies from Sweet Sorbet cardstock, but before I did – I backed the cardstock with Adhesive Sheets to make it easy for me to glue down the thin words inside the frame I’d created.
- I popped up the built sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Here’s a closer look at the sentiment on my card:
My card features three of the patterns in the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper, a pack of papers you want now so you are ready for Valentine’s Day (your welcome for the advance notice). ♥ The papers feature Sweet Sorbet and a lighter shade of Sweet Sorbet (the stripes are Sweet Sorbet and a light shade of Sweet Sorbet). Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper:
The heart-patterned panel and the striped panel are pulled from the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper. The heart that peeks out from behind the sentiment is, too! I punched the Sweet Sorbet heart from the fifth page on the bottom row above with the Country Bouquet Punch, new in the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. Here’s a look at this must-have bundle:
Here’s another card I previously made with this bundle (you can click on the image of the card to see my original post for the project):
