Paper Pumpkin Alternative with Marigold Moments

Yesterday I shared three cards I made for my Pumpkin in the Fungeon customer call using the Key to My Heart Paper Pumpkin Kit. If you missed those projects, you can see them here. Today I’m sharing a treat bag I made with elements from the kit and with the Marigold Moments Bundle. Here’s my project:

I decorated the front of an Embossed Treat Bag with a Fresh Freesia band from the kit (it fit perfectly on the front of this bag with just a smidge of white space on either side). I added a vase (cropped from the key hole in the kit) that’s accented with twine from the kit. I also added a sentiment from the kit. Since the bag is decorated with flowers, it will certainly be filled with chocolates. 🙂

I searched the internet to see if anyone else had turned the keyhole into a vase before making this – I didn’t find one, but certainly one is out there. How could you not?! I snipped a little off the rounded bottom of the upside-down keyhole and trimmed some off the other side, too. They were even cuts, and I think the vase is lovely.

The flowers in my keyhole-converted vase are stamped and cut with the Marigold Moments Bundle, new in Stampin’ Up!’s January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. Here’s a look at this incredible bundle:

Pad Dragging

To build layers of color or the die-cut flowers and leaves, I dragged an ink pad across the corresponding cardstock before cropping select elements with the die. For example, I dragged a Daffodil Delight ink pad across Daffodil Delight cardstock. I then cropped that piece with the detailed flower die and cropped the base of the flower with the un-inked cardstock. I did the same with the Calypso Coral flowers. Some of the leaves are straight from the Parakeet Party cardstock, and some are first darkened a bit with the ink pad. Here’s a closer look at these flowers on the treat bag:
