Get Lucky with Brian’s Lucky Clover Blog Candy Giveaway

I love to share Stampin’ Up!’s products with my blog readers, team members and customers. Today, I’m happy to share a super-fun Blog Candy Giveaway today with one lucky blog reader.

Blog Candy Giveaway

Like all retailers, Stampin’ Up! has the difficult job of forecasting exactly what its customers will want to buy and when they will want to place their orders. No company wants to under-order products (they lose out on sales), but no company wants to over-order products, either (ending a sales cycle with a warehouse full of costly products that aren’t selling). To keep costs low, companies must straddle that line to find the right balance – it doesn’t always feel good to customers when products run out, but I would suggest it feels better than higher costs that would follow a full warehouse.

The Lucky Clover Punch has proven far more popular than the company’s forecasters predicted it would be. I was surprised, too, by the number of people who picked up this bundle in January (for a holiday that isn’t until mid-March). Some picked up the St. Patrick’s Day bundle before they ordered their Valentine’s Day goodies or Easter goodies. With this popularity, the Lucky Clover punch has sold out in the U.S. and won’t be restocked (they won’t have them back in stock before the St. Patrick’s Day Holiday).

Here’s a look at the Lucky Clover Bundle, now discontinued in the U.S.:

Lucky Clover Bundle, Stampin Up! 160613While the bundle is gone (because of the unavailability of the punch), the stamp set is still available for purchase. Here’s a look at the Lucky Clover stamp set:

Lucky Clover, Stampin Up! 160610If you didn’t have a chance to snatch up a Lucky Clover Punch before it went away, then I’ve got some good news for you! I’m happy to host a blog candy giveaway with this amazing bundle – and so much more. Such fun!

Blog Candy Giveaway, Brian King Here’s what’s included in this bundle of goodies:

  • Lucky Clover Bundle (including Lucky Clover stamp set and Lucky Clover Punch)
  • Love Cats Stamp Set
  • Loose Daisy Embellishments
  • Opaque Adhesive-Backed Gems
  • Other goodies you’ll certainly enjoy

Why did I include the Love Cats stamp set with this collection? Well, cats have nine lives (lucky!), and I accidentally ordered the stamp set twice. ♥

I’ll randomly select a winner on Sunday evening – but you need to leave a comment to be included in the giveaway.

  1. I love dies – have barely used my punches since dies became so readily available. There are so many choices and coordinating sets of dies and they take up much less room than punches. Unlike punches, I can flip through dies filed in a shoebox ……. sometimes I kind of “window-shop” them. Even when I have nothing specific in mind, by the time I’m done, my mojo is kick-started and I have several card ideas swirling around in my 83-year-old head! [yeah, my body is about that same age, too. How’s that for coincidence?]
I haven’t been inside a retail store in over 3 years, courtesy of Covid, health, and age – so stamping, die-cutting, and my faith have been my sanity insurance. And getting emails like yours lifts my spirits, too. Thank you for those and for a chance to win goodies.

  2. Mary Anne Schnettgoecke

I love punches because they are so quick and easy, but dies are awesome. I can’t choose!😜

  3. Punches are my go to when in a hurry or to mass produce. Thanks for the chance to win this set. I missed out on the chance to order it!

  4. Oh Brian! you do ask difficult questions! LOL
I think it depends on the project I’m working on and what I have, punch or dies that cut the desired shape. Punches definitely for speed of multiples, but dies can give such intricate details.
Thanks for your great blog of inspiration & information!

  5. Brian:

Thank you for asking. I prefer dies because of the variety of configurations they offer. When I think punches I think single use which is somewhat limiting. Of course I rarely misplace a punch, dies however . . . have the habit of disappearing from sight!

  6. I love them both, but dies edge out stamps because they are easier to store!
    Love your posts,
    – Karen

  7. Hi Brian
I prefer punches as they are quick to pull out and put away. That said, I can’t resist dies in lieu of fussy cutting. I’m Irish and kicking myself for not ordering immediately as I missed out on the bundle, and was planning to use it to make St Patrick Day cards for my family. Thank you

  8. I prefer punches, but that doesn’t stop me from buying nearly every die set! I just find that punches are quicker and easier. AND harder to lose!

  9. It is a right cross (punch term) with the punches for the win! But, it does depend on the project. I used three different punches for valentines for the seniors and I made 50+ ones. The punches made them faster and easier for me.

I was slow to the fight to get the clover punch which I really would have used a lot since I share a St. Patrick’s Day birthday with several others and make cards for the occasion. Oh well, I can always punch out the hearts and make a shamrock if needed. Thanks for a chance for the win!

  10. If I had to pick one it would be punches. I love how easy they are to use. Not that I don’t love dies too.

  11. I absolutely love punches!!!!

  12. What a choice. I think both punches and dies have their specific uses. I do think dies are more versatile. Thanks for the chance to win this prize!

  13. Punches are quicker, but I really like the details in dies. So…I guess it’s a toss-up for me.

  14. I NEED it all! LOL Punches are invaluable when making a lot of the same card. However, I love die sets with all of their intricacies and storage ease. I was soooo going to get that clover punch! Thanks for the chance, Brian!!!

  15. Difficult choice. Punches if I’m in a hurry. Dies if I am thinking ahead, cut several and have them on hand. The only thing with punches is you are limited by size, but punches have other options of how to use them. Also punches are more portable if you’re going to a stamping get together.

  16. I like punches on get lots in a short time.

  17. I like both, thanks for a chance to win!

  18. I own both but I seem to get out my punches first. Punches seem easier to use and I have an immediate shape without having to get my die cutter out. I can quickly make multitudes with the punch.

  19. I prefer punches but I like dies too. Thank you for the chance to win.

  20. Thanks for this giveaway opportunity, Brian! I’m new to stamping so punches are easier for me to use, so I prefer punches. I’ve been waiting & waiting for a St. Patrick’s Day set from Stampin Up. I love to make cards for holidays and try to buy holiday themed items first.

  21. I use both but I think I prefer dies. They seem to give me more flexibility in positioning and saving on paper supplies. But both are awesome!!

  22. I like the cleaner cut of the dies and the detail that is possible. Punches are much faster for a project with many of the same simple cut. I find both are good for positioning. If I had to choose, I’d pick dies because punches have limitations that dies don’t.

  23. Hmmmmm. For mass production, I design for a punch…quick and easy! But, I love to create around a die for a project of 5 -10 cards. Thanks Brian!

  24. Love punches because they’re easy & fast!

  25. What a great idea! Thanks for doing another blog post. I use both, but I think I prefer dies for the simple reason that they take up less room to store.

  26. Ok, my friend , I love LOVE PUNCHES , FASTER , but BUT , BUT DIES are just as nice , I’ll take either.
    YES I missed the bundle,
I KNEW IT , BUT DID MOVE FAST ENOUGH, I was waiting for my birthday, lol,
Thanks for the opportunity, if it’s me that wins it , I WILL GIVE THE CAT STAMPS AWAY TO A HAPPY HOME ,
HUGS FRENCHIE ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️, happy Valentine’s Day to you and yours and Mom ,♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

  27. That looks like such a cute set. I always love seeing your samples on the blog!
Answer to the question: I tend to use my punches more because they are handy and quick. But, I still love my dies, I just don’t like having to drag out my machine all the time.

  28. Thanks for sharing the bounty. I prefer dies because they are easier to store. Wishing there were dies for the “Love Cats”. Thanks again for sharing your talents in car making.

  29. Punches take up more room whereas dies are much more compact. I will reach for my punches when I need a card in a pinch. Whereas when I have more time to dedicate to a card I will pull out the dies. I’m going to say punches is my decision

  30. Dies, I used to prefer punches for the ease, but dies are so fun and versatile. Just love the Dainty Delights. And I keep all my wonderful s.u. Die sets and use them over and over, again. The Gemini sure makes it easy to create masterpieces.

  31. Oh no! This bundle is on my short list of things I want from the new catalog. I love the “good friend” sentiment with the stamp set and the clover punch is a must! Although I use a lot of dies, I often turn to using a punch for a quick and easy card, plus it’s easier to pack up if you’re making cards away from your regular crafting spot. Thanks for doing this Blog Giveaway! Who knows, maybe some Irish luck will come my way…

  32. I love seeing your cards. I would love to win this prize. To answer your question – for me it’s a hard choice to pick one over the other because I love both punches and dies.Sorry – I can’t pick one over the other.

  33. I have been preferring dies because they are much easier to store than bulky punches BUT lately have been leaning to punches because I don’t have to keep running the same die through over and over, just keep punching…much easier.

  34. Dies – I use my Big Shot more than almost any other tool I own! Thanks, Brian!

  35. Punches are quicker but dies give you more flexibility – I’ve gone back and forth on this but what finally tipped the scale was – storage space – so therefore I’m going to say dies.

  36. I have three drawers of punches and love them, so I’d say they are favorite. Have dies too in just a small bin.

  37. I love them both but when in a hurry a punch is my go to for popping up a sentiment!
    Thanks for the opportunity!

  38. Both are awesome and have their own distinct qualities that make them great! I love dies as most coordinate with a stamp pr DSP and that is so much faster than fussy cutting everything. That is how some of my stamped images lose a finger or foot. One slip of the scissors and it’s time to start over. lol BUT I love punches because I don’t need a machine to run them through. I can throw a punch in my bag and head to a crop without having to bring the heavy machinery with. And mass producing cards is much quicker with a punch. It’s hard to pick 1 but if I have to then I will go with dies. Sorry punches!

  39. I really enjoy punches. They are fast and easy. Thanks for the opportunity to win blog candy.

  40. That’s a hard one. I would have to say dies because they are easier to store. However, there are many times when a quick punch saves the day!

  41. Great question!! I love both for different reasons!! Dies give you many to choose from in one set and don’t take up as much room but punches are quick and easy when you need to get something done quickly. Luckily I don’t have to choose between one or the other, I can use them both!! Hahahaha

  42. I prefer dies; they’re easy to use and don’t take up much space. Thanks for the opportunity to win.

  43. I definetely like PUNCHES better! It goes faster when you have to make multiples! It’s a pain to have to keep putting the die in the Big Shot if you need to make multiples!
It think the bunny punch was a surprise also! It’s gone now! I missed my opportunity!

  44. Punches are so much faster and easier. Dies are smaller for storage and cheaper per design. I like both !

  45. I want them all! I love punches when wanting a quick and simple card, but I love dies when I need to create something that is very special and the recipient knows
That time, care and love went into it. Punches and dies both create amazing cards and projects.

  46. I want them all! I love punches when wanting a quick and simple card, but I love dies when I need to create something that is very special and the recipient knows
That time, care and love went into it. Punches and dies both create amazing cards and projects.

  47. I’m like you, I love punches..quick and easy to use.. thanks for the giveaway, your amazing!

  48. That is a tough question. Do you like punches or die sets? I use both depending on my card. I enjoy following your posts. Your cards are outstanding and beautiful.

  49. Punches for sure, only because doing classes for 20-30 people its hard when you use lot s of dies.

  50. It’s difficult to decide. One year ago I would’ve said I like punches better, just because they’re so easy to grab and punch. But, recently I’ve hardly used any of my punches. Thanks for the chance to win some blog candy.
