Good Luck! – Inspired By Super Bowl LVII

As I casually spoke with Mom last night, I told her I still needed to make a card for today’s blog post. I was wavering between a Valentine’s Day card or a Spring card when she said, “I know! Make a card for the Super Bowl.” I dismissed her suggestion, certain I didn’t have the images or sentiments for either chiefs or eagles. The more I thought about it, though, I knew I could make a card INSPIRED by the two teams playing in the big football game today. Here’s the card I made:

Have you ever watched a competition show (like The Voice or American Idol) where the judges wish EVERYONE good luck? I always think that’s so silly – everyone can’t win every time. I am not rooting for one team over the other in this game, so I’m wishing good luck to all the players, all the fans and all the workers who are pulling off this big game.

The sentiment on my card is stamped with the Charming Sentiments stamp set and cropped with the coordinating Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. Here’s a look at this must-have bundle from Stampin’ Up!’s 2022 Annual Catalog:

I had such fun matching up the colors of the two teams with Stampin’ Up! colors. I Googled the jerseys that will be worn during the came. Real Red and Crushed Curry were an easy match for the Kansas City Chiefs. For the Philadelphia Eagles, I had to reach back into my retired papers to find a piece of Pretty Peacock, which paired with Basic Black for the jerseys they will wear.

Pretty Peacock is a 2019-2021 In Color that retired two years ago. I have good news, though! This rich aqua color may be making a comeback as Pretty Peacock is featured in a suite of online products that will be available starting March 1 (I’ll share more about this suite in the coming week). I accented the Super Bowl LVII colors with Basic Gray and Smoky Slate, two shades of gray that allow these colors to shine (as they should). I accented my popped up sentiment with three Basic Gray Matte Dots. Here’s a look:
