Miss You with Desert Details

The Delicate Desert Designer Series Paper has been on my A-list since Stampin’ Up!’s January-April 2023 Mini Catalog was introduced, but I remained unsold on the coordinating Desert Details Bundle. I caved and picked it up – and now I don’t know what I was waiting for! The coordinating stamp set and dies are pretty incredible – and now I can’t stop playing with the layering options. Here’s a card I made to share with you:

The layering elements in this set of dies are really wonderful! The dies are currently unavailable in the United States – but they are expected to return to the warehouse by March 27. Go ahead, and put it on your wish list. ♥ Here’s a look at the Desert Details Bundle:

Desert Details Bundle, Stampin Up! 160532 The two Soft Succulent layers on my card are pulled from the Delicate Desert Designer Series Paper – the base is the sixth page along the top row, and the textured panel beneath the flower is the second page on the second row. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the gorgeous Delicate Desert Designer Series Paper:

Delicate Desert Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 160521I stamped the flower with Cajun Craze ink on Pale Papaya cardstock and cropped it with the Desert Details Dies. I layered some Evening Evergreen cutouts from the dies behind the flower and accented the card with three sequins from the Gold-Faceted Adhesive-Backed Sequins in the suite. I initially added one of the teardrop sequins, but I thought that looked too much like a teardrop for a “miss you” card. The sentiment on my card is pulled from the Happy Labels stamp set – I stamped it with Evening Evergreen on Thick Basic White cardstock and snipped it out.

All three of the colors featured in this card are 2021-2023 In Colors – Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. Unless one (or more) of these colors makes it into the permanent color family with a color refresh, they will be retiring at the end of April. Stock up now! If you like this mix of Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:

  1. Gorgeous flower. You have me reconsidering this pretty bundle.

  2. Beautiful card! I had to laugh when I read that you loved the paper but wasn’t sold on the bundle. That’s EXACTLY what I did. I bought the beautiful paper because paper makes me happy. But I still have not purchased the bundle. If I still lived in Arizona I might have but I thought I wouldn’t “need ” the bundle now that I’ve moved to Missouri. I stand corrected. Thanks for inspiring me to spend more money!🤔

  3. Lovely card…loving the green background and pop with the Papaya flower!

  4. I love this pretty card, Brian. The great color combo to the gorgeous flower to the shiny sequins…all make a very pretty card. Enjoy your day!

  5. I love this card. I changed the Evening Evergreen to Pretty Peacock. It’s a stunning card either way! Thank you!
