I hosted my monthly Zoom call with my Paper Pumpkin customers yesterday. During our Pumpkin in the Fungeon call, I share some fun ideas with the items included in the monthly kit, and my customers share their brilliant ideas. I’m always impressed by what others are making and love to spend that time with my customers who participate. Sometimes we rush through our projects and then just chat for the rest of the time.
Today I’m sharing some alternative projects with April’s All the Little Things Kit – a variety of gorgeous florals and leaves with versatile sentiments. The colors are bold and gorgeous – and the projects are perfect as-is (it was unnecessary to design alternatives, but I did it anyway). Before I share my alternatives, here’s a look at the finished projects (as designed) from the April 2023 Paper Pumpkin kit:
Here’s a look at all the goodies that came in this kit:
As an added bonus, the kit included a cardstock grid that fit inside a Paper Pumpkin box to store Stampin’ Spots that come with the kit – how fun!
Refills are available for just $11 in the online store – you get everything you see above except for the stamp set, ink spot and storage grid. To purchase the refill, click here.

Alternative Projects
As always, I designed a handful of projects to share with my customers during our Pumpkin in the Fungeon call. I’m sharing three of them with you today. Here are three cards I made with elements of the kit (and some elements from my craft room):
Below is a closer look at these three projects.
All the Little Things
The first element in this kit that caught my eye was this punch out frame of leaves. As you can see in the product showcase above, the leaves fill out a card front. Further, the designed card positions the leaves over a Petal Pink backdrop. I’m SUCH A FAN of pale blue and rich green, so I layered a panel the Balmy Blue envelope behind the leaves. After they were glued down, I cropped away at the panel with my guillotine paper cutter to create a beautiful panel. I layered that with Basic White and Balmy Blue cardstock and then positioned that over the Shaded Spruce card base from the kit.
Rather than center the leafy panel on the card base, I positioned it in the lower, left corner so I could extend the sentiment beyond the panel.
You can’t see this in the photo, but the leaves are a mix of Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green and iridescent foil. Such a great element in the kit!
Celebrate Today
The flowers in the kit have a stain-glass appeal to them – they are gorgeous! One of the arrangements of flowers includes three large flowers that take up a lot of real estate on the card (as designed). I cropped the Petal Pink panel (that was designed to be used with the leaves), layered the flowers along the bottom and then cropped them. I was thrilled with how they looked at the base of the card. I simply added the sentiment (stamped in Shaded Spruce) and three of the jewels included in the kit.
So sweet, don’t you think? While I used the “celebrate today” sentiment on this card, the card would be perfect for nearly any occasion.
Grateful
I am completely in awe of the single flower punch out in the kit – if we had a stamp like this one, I’d possibly use it on every card. The mix of bright coral, soft pink and iridescent foil are gorgeous. I knew the flower would be gorgeous as a gift topper, so I assembled an Envelope Treat Box and wrapped it with a band of Shaded Spruce cardstock. I was happy with that but then added a panel of Balmy Blue to really help the flower pop. Here’s a look:
I added the word single (from the “I’m grateful for all the little things you do” sentiment) by stamping the sentiment and then snipping out the word.
The Envelope Treat Boxes are tiny and adorable – and they are carrying into the 2023 Annual Catalog. Yay! Here’s a look:
