Hello Kiwi
There are so many great “circle” inspirations in our 2023 Annual Catalog, but I immediately reached for the Hello Kiwi stamp set for today’s blog hop. Not only does this set give me a grand opportunity to showcase Lemon Lime Twist (a long-time favorite that returned with this new catalog). Here’s my card:
Here’s a look at the Hello Kiwi stamp set that was used to build all the kiwis on my card:
I stamped the focal kiwis with Lemon Lime Twist (the slice is stamped in full ink, and the full circle is stamped off once). For each, I stamped the outline image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The colors are so vibrant and so beautiful. While the round images could be cropped with a 2″ Circle Punch, I patiently hand-snipped my kiwis. Here’s a closer look:
Using Lemon Lime Twist ink, I also stamped my background panel with the round kiwis (inside and out). I stamped off the inside piece once and stamped the outline in full concentration of ink. You might not be able to tell they are kiwis in the background, but I love the pattern in the background.
I added a 7/8″ strip of Pecan Pie cardstock to (1) provide a platform for my kiwis to rest on and (2) pull in the color of the outside of the kiwi. This soft brown isn’t the first color you might think to pair with Lemon Lime Twist and Basic Black, but I love it! It helps to break up the super-bright and super-dark colors on this card.

I love the color combo of black/white and Lemon Lime Twist. I agree with Sheryl Abernathy and you about the Pecan Pie strip being the perfect addition to this pretty card.
