I hosted my monthly Zoom call with my Paper Pumpkin customers last weekend. During our Pumpkin in the Fungeon call, I share some fun ideas with the items included in the monthly kit, and my customers share their brilliant ideas. I’m always impressed by what others are making and love to spend that time with my customers who participate. Sometimes we rush through our projects and then just chat for the rest of the time.
Today I’m sharing an alternative project I shared with June’s Welcome Inn Kit – a beautiful kit that features vases, flowers and sweet sentiments. The cards include patterns and shapes right from the Countryside Inn Collection (new in Stampin’ Up!’s 2023 Annual Catalog). Alternative Project
As always, I designed some projects to share with my customers during our Pumpkin in the Fungeon call (Mom finished all of her cards as-designed and was here to share hers with the group). I’m sharing one of them with you today. Here’s my project:
Even though the kit features a mix of Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral flowers, I used a lighter tone to accent my flowers. All of the elements on this card are pulled from the Paper Pumpkin Kit – except for the Lemon Lolly cardstock and the Lemon Lolly haze behind the flowers and vase. Oh, I love Lemon Lolly!
I used paper snips to crop the flowers from one panel in the kit and pop it up (with a punched-out) vase on another panel. I used a Blending Brush to add a mist of Lemon Lolly on the center of the Basic White frame before adding the vase and flowers. The touch of yellow helped my flowers to really pop on the focal panel. Here’s a closer look:
This is such a beautiful mix of colors, don’t you think?! If you like sophisticated mix of Lemon Lolly, Calypso Coral and Night of Navy as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
