Today I’m sharing a super-fun birthday card with a simple, fun fold and lots of beautiful color. Here’s the card I made with the Beautiful Balloons Bundle and coordinating Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (such a fun card to pull together!):

Let’s talk about the easy fun fold on this card. The Berry Burst base of this card is just a half sheet of cardstock (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″) scored at 4-1/4″ and again at 2-1/8″ to create the z-fold for the card base. I glued a panel of the Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to the front flap of the z-fold and glued the focal panel to that flap. Here’s a look at how this card is laid out:
The balloons on the front of the fun fold card are my favorite part of the card. I cropped a trio of balloons with a single die from the Beautiful Balloons Dies (at the center of the dies above) in the Basic White cardstock panel and then glued it to the Berry Burst piece. To the center of two balloon cutouts, I added balloons from the set (one in Lemon Lime Twist, and one in Blueberry Bushel. I covered the third balloon with a Stylish Shapes Circle from Fresh Freesia cardstock. I added three Lemon Lime Twist tinsel gems for a fun accent:
While Berry Burst is the base of this card and focal panel, it’s the mix of Fresh Freesia, Lemon Lime Twist and Blueberry Bushel that I love so much. If you like this color combination as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
