Since the stain glass images in the So Very Merry stamp set first debuted in Stampin’ Up!’s Online Exclusives last month, I’ve been excited to showcase one of the images. I was leaning toward Santa Claus, but something pulled me toward the angel. I couldn’t be happier with that decision because I love how this card turned out. Here’s my Boho Blue Christmas card with the So Very Merry stamp set:
There’s such a wonderful variety of images and sentiments in the So Very Merry photopolymer stamp set – great for religious or secular Christmas celebrations. Here’s a look at this amazing stamp set:
I heat embossed the circular stain glass image from So Very Merry with Copper Embossing Powder and colored the image with a variety of Stampin’ Blends. The copper embossing gave me the look of lead frame look I wanted for my image. Here’s a closer look:
I punched the final image with a 2-3/8″ Circle Punch, which also coordinates with the Santa Clause stain glass image. Yay!
Down the center of the 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Boho Blue cardstock, I added a Boho Blue pattern from the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper. The strip of stripes adds a beautiful backdrop for this image without stealing away any focus from the beautiful angel. How beautiful is the “Peace on Earth” sentiment I used on my card?! It’s pulled from the Regal Reindeer stamp set. I stamped it with Boho Blue ink and cropped it with the Double Oval Punch. Here’s a look at the Regal Reindeer stamp set:
The stain glass art at the heart of this card are colored with Stampin’ Blends in three soft, sweet colors. I was hesitant to start coloring before I was sure I wanted these colors, but they worked for me. If you like this mix of Lemon Lolly, Petal Pink and Boho Blue as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
