I hosted my monthly Zoom call with my Paper Pumpkin customers over the weekend. During our Pumpkin in the Fungeon call, I share some fun ideas with the items included in the monthly kit, and my customers share their brilliant ideas. I’m always impressed by what others are making and love to spend that time with my customers who participate. Sometimes we rush through our projects and then just chat for the rest of the time. We, of course, talked about the new catalog and Sale-a-Bration products. What fun!
Today I’m sharing three cards with one alternative design I shared with December’s All the Best Kit, a fresh and bright collection of flowers and sweet sentiments. The kit includes gorgeous colors that are a hard turn from the rich colors of Christmas. Before I share one of my alternative projects, here’s a look at the finished projects (as designed) from the December 2023 Paper Pumpkin kit:
Here’s a look at all the goodies that came in this kit:
That’s A LOT! Still, what I really love from this kit is the stamp set, which I featured on my card yesterday (if you missed that card, you can see it here). Here’s a closer look at the coordinating stamp set that came with the December kit:
While the full kit is no longer available, the refills are available to subscribers in the online store while supplies last. You can see it here.
Alternative Projects
While I usually make several projects to share with the group and with you, I opted for one design in three color combinations. I think I was so excited to play with the fresh, soft colors that I couldn’t hold back. Here’s one of the cards I made, along with the coordinating envelope.:
I used my 2-3/8″ Circle Punch to punch three circles of Thick Basic White that serve as the focal point for each card. I glued a flower along the edge of each and then stamped the sentiment with Pebbled Path ink, the color that came with the kit. The background panel on the card is cropped from one of the card bases in the kit – the front and back were the same, so I was able to get two cards from one card base. Yay!
Rather than just make one, I made three! Here is a look at the three cards I made with this layout and these colors:
The card bases, frames and bands alternate between Balmy Blue, Old Olive and Crushed Curry. I love this combination and had fun making each of these cards with these colors. If you love this mix of blue, green and yellow as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
January’s Paper Pumpkin
January’s Paper Pumpkin kit is a gorgeous mix of projects perfect for Valentine’s Day, anniversaries and more. The projects coordinate with the Perennial Lavender Suite Collection in the new catalog – love that! Here’s a sneak peek at the Lovely Lavender kit:
Here are some products included in the kit:
- 8 cards (4 each of 2 designs) with coordinating envelopes
- 4 bonus tags that punch out from the card fronts
- pre-cut paper pieces and linen thread
- a Gorgeous Grape Stampin’ Spot
Coordinating Stampin’ Up! colors: Garden Green, Pretty Peacock, Lost Lagoon, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Berry Burst
