Be Inspired by Stampin’ Up!’s Retiring In Colors

It’s time for another Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop – what fun! The Be Inspired Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world who are excited to share our themed projects with you. I’m so honored to be a part of this group of talented stampers!

For today’s Be Inspired Blog Hop, we are creating projects inspired by the retiring 2022-2024 In Colors. For the past two years, we’ve lived with Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet, Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky (and have loved every minute of it!). Here’s a look at the retiring In Colors that are the focus of today’s hop:

My project for today’s blog hop started with a purple zinnia – and everything else was built around it. My simple design with three of these retiring In Colors features two new products from the Online Exclusives offering (the Simply Zinnia Bundle and Drizzling Droplets stamp set). Here’s my card:

The Basic White panel on my card features a GORGEOUS stamp set with drizzling droplets – except that my droplets are not drizzling. Instead of showcasing them as showering down my card, they a bubbling up. Here’s a look at the watercolored images on the Drizzling Droplets background stamp:

I stamped the bubbling droplets with Starry Sky ink, framed the panel with Starry Sky cardstock and mounted it on an Orchid Oasis card base.

I stamped the zinnia from Simply Zinnia with Starry Sky ink on Thick Basic White, colored the flower with Orchid Oasis Stampin’ Blends and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. I stamped the leaves with Granny Apple Green ink and colored them with Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends. Here’s a closer look at the flower on my card:

And here’s a look at the Simply Zinnia Bundle, which includes the cling stamp set and coordinating dies:

The sentiment on my card is stamped with Starry Sky ink with the Simply Zinnia stamp set.
