What better way to remind you that a wide swath of Designer Series Papers are about to retire than to make a “wishing you peace” card that showcases three of them (and, incidentally, showcases a sentiment from a retiring stamp set? I’m happy with this one and hope it will push you to take one more look at the retiring papers – some are discounted and all are showcased at the base of this post. These papers will be retired on April 30 or when supplies run out. Here’s my card:
Can you spot all three of the mostly black-and-white patterns I’ve showcased on my card? I’m not even going to make you answer – I’m just going to show you (I’m such a pushover). The meditating sloth is cropped from a page of the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper with a Stylish Shapes square die. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper:
My sloth is showcased on a 3-3/4″ x 5″ panel of Rock & Roll Designer Series Paper. To add a little something extra to the paper, I flicked Crumb Cake ink over the page with a Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend marker. Here’s a closer look:

This is such a great pack of papers – the guitars and boomboxes are great, but the other patterns can be used for nearly any other type of card.
To add a little extra “umph” to this card, I added three 1/2″ strips of a page from the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper, a DOUBLE BACK of Designer Series Papers for a variety of occasions. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this pack:
This pack of papers is marked 50% off during the Last Chance Sale – just $15 for 48 sheets of 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Papers. Don’t miss out on these!
The sentiment on my card is pulled from the brilliant-and-beautiful Hills of Tuscany stamp set – perfect for this meditating sloth and perfect to remind you that the stamp set will soon be unavailable. Here’s a look at Hills of Tuscany:
Stamps: Hills of Tuscany Papers: Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper, Rock & Roll Designer Series Paper, Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper, Basic Black, Crumb Cake Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
