3 Gifts for Them and a Gift for You

Brace yourself as I share the news that I took some time off this past week – it’s unbelievable and unsettling, I know, but I have a few fun photos to share.

On Sunday morning, we traveled to my sister-in-law’s house to celebrate Mother’s Day with Tracy (my mother-in-law), Chelsea (my sister-in-law) and Ivy (my niece). Jake, my brother-in-law, was there, too, but we weren’t celebrating him. 🙂 We showed up with small gifts and handmade cards and were treated to a delicious, lunchtime cookout. We left Chelsea’s after lunch and drove to Mom’s house in time to take her to dinner and then hang out with Mom, my brother, my sister-in-law and their children. Again, we had small gifts and handmade cards to share. We stayed with Mom and thoroughly enjoyed a couple of days without email.

Today I’m going to share three of the gifts I shared with my loved ones and a gift I am excited to share with you.

Gifts for Them

I like to share the cards I make for my loved ones and don’t often showcase the gifts. Today is different, though. I was so happy with these gifts I couldn’t NOT share.

I couldn’t imagine showing up at Chelsea’s house with gifts for Chelsea and Tracy but without a little something for four-year-old Ivy. Last weekend, I shared the ice cream cone card I made to go with the cute pajama set we picked up for Ivy. If you missed that post, you can see it here. Our mothers were the proud recipients of canvas portraits we had made for them through the TurnMeRoyal.com website. I submitted a photo of each Mom from my phone and picked their portrait image. Such fun and a total hoot! These are the official portraits they didn’t know they needed.

I’m still giggling about their reactions to these paintings – and they have to live with them every day. 🙂
