I have awesome friends, and I love to make cards that tell them so. Today I am sharing a card I made last night for a dear friend who sent little gifties to Jeremiah, Mom and me. So sweet! I wanted to play with the Turtle-y Cute Suite Collection – and that’s just what I did to make the thank you card I’m sending to my friend. Here’s the card that will be in the mail to my friend today:
These sign-bearing turtles are featured in the Turtle-y Awesome Bundle. While there are SO MANY fun accessories for the turtles, I think the sign was enough for this card. Here’s a look at the Turtle-y Awesome Bundle, new in Stampin’ Up!’s 2025 Annual Catalog:
There are two characters in the stamp set who face each other, holding their hands up – perfect for ice cream cones, microphones and balloons (also in the stamp set). I thought they’d be perfect to hold a sign. A thank you sign was just what I needed, so…
I planned to snip their little arms to tuck the sign underneath. As I began playing with the dies, though, I realized the arms would already be cut for me – such a fun element of this bundle! Here’s a closer look:
I colored the thankful turtles with a mix of Stampin’ Blends – Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist, Shaded Spruce and Crumb Cake. So easy! So fun! I backed my thankful turtles with layers of cardstock and gorgeous patterns from the Turtle-y Cute Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this fun pack of papers:
When I first introduced the Annual Catalog papers to you, I chose this striped page as my favorite. There are lots of pages I love in this pack, but I was happy to showcase this page on this card:
The “thank you” on the turtle-y banner is from the Spring Corners stamp set. I masked the other side of the angle before inking it to grab the “thank you” I needed on this card. Here’s a look at this incredibly fun bundle:
I added a large heart behind my turtles with a die from the Hearts of Elegance Dies, part of the Last Chance List right now – they’ll be gone as soon as they sell out. Was happy to have the heart on hand to add a little extra love behind the characters and sentiment. I added a trio of Shaded Spruce Shades of Green Hexagons to give a little shine to my card.
