Yesterday I shared a simple, many-layered card. I was so happy with the layout that I created another card to share with you today. If you missed yesterday’s card, you can see it here. Today I am sharing the new card, a new color combination and the measurements used on the cards I’ve shared. Here’s the thank you card I made to share with you today:
While I used no Designer Series Paper on yesterday’s card (that’s rare for me), today’s card features two designs from the Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper:
How beautiful are these papers together? The monochromatic pattern in the Fresh Freesia pattern works well with the flower-filled pattern beneath it.
I punched a piece of Thick Basic White with my Modern Oval punch and stamped the sentiment from the Impressions Abloom stamp set using Secret Sea ink. I hand-snipped a few flowers from the background panel and added them to my sentiment with Mini Glue Dots. Here’s a closer look:
I love the mix of soft purple, dusty blue and rich green used in the floral pattern showcased on my card. If you like this mix of Fresh Freesia, Misty Moonlight and Old Olive as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
I added a trio of Two-Tone Sparkle Gems to accent my sentiment. While the colors in the gems are Balmy Blue and Bubble Bath, the colors look a lot like Misty Moonlight and Fresh Freesia against this combination of colors. ♥

- Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper – 4″ x 5-1/4″

Absolute stunner. Love the mix of patterns and sweet flowers.
Thank you so much, Mary! I’m getting more and more comfortable with flowers, and I love these blue and purple colors. ♥
Beautiful card! The flowers are cut to perfection! Colors in the papers all
mix and match so well!
Thanks, Barbara! Snipping can be really fun when it works in your favor. These flowers are so sweet. Glad you like how I arranged them.
Oh what a beauty. Thanks for the measurements too!
Happy weekend.
Happy to share. Thanks, Lucy! ♥
Brian you have a real talent for designing beautiful cards with dsps and combinations of colors, including embellishments!
Thanks for sharing the measurements ( that’s a real bonus).
Thank you so much, Dawn! I really appreciate that. ♥
Love the card, love the colors
Thanks so much, Bonnie!
My favorite paper that I don’t own yet! A real stunner of a card, Brian!
Thanks, Cindie! The pages of this paper are really gorgeous – this page of blue and purple flowers is really beautiful.
Brian the DSP takes yesterday’s card to a total different level! Even though the layout is the same, the DSP gives it another look! Gorgeous! Thank you so much for the exact measurements!
Thanks so much, Katrina! I SO love Designer Series Paper for that reason – I was really happy with yesterday’s card, but today’s makes me much happier. Always love to hear from you, Katrina!
I think “5” must be the absolute minimum number of basic layers in a BK Card. What a stunning card—color, layout, DSP choice—all perfection. An extra thank you for the measurements. Casing with your permission. 💕
You could be right about the layer count, Linda! 🙂 Thanks so much for your kind words – so glad you like the card. Hope you have fun with it.
Gorgeous card! I have been hoarding this paper but need to cut into it!
