SNEAK PEEK: A Festive Friends Trio

Stampin’ Up! demonstrators have already had a sneak peek at the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog and the new Online Exclusives (both are phenomenal!) and were able to start placing pre-orders last week. When my UPS box arrived yesterday afternoon, I wasted no time — I unpacked my new goodies and dove right in.

During my monthly InKing Royalty team call last night, I followed our usual itinerary — team recognition, current news, and upcoming events — before sharing the products that had just arrived and creating the project I’m showing you today. While I think it’s still a little early to flood you with sneak peeks (especially since there’s still a long list of amazing products you can grab right now), I simply couldn’t keep this one under wraps.

Here’s a trio of notecard-sized cards I made with the Festive Friends Bundle that’s part of the upcoming Online Exclusives:

How cute are these guys?! I described them during our team call as traditional holiday characters that had been squished. I laughed at the phrase, but I honestly love the squished-ness of these characters. Here’s a look at the new Festive Friends Bundle that includes dies for the characters and other versatile dies:

I colored my squished holiday friends with a mix of Stampin’ Blends, then showcased them on a Stylish Shapes Dies circle cut from the Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper. The texture on this particular paper (the reverse side of the bokeh design) has such an icy, wintry feel – perfect for these wintertime characters – though most of it is hidden behind them.

To finish the cards, I accented each one with die-cut elements from the bundle – starbursts, diamonds, and snowflakes – for just the right amount of festive sparkle and texture.

Here’s a closer look at each of the characters featured on my notecards:

Santa is colored with Poppy Parade, Basic black and a touch of Smoky Slate in his hat and gloves. His face is colored with Light Stampin’ Blends.

The snowman is colored with Shy Shamrock and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends with a little Timid Tiger for the carrot nose.

My elf is inspired by the Will Ferrell movie Elf – why not?! I colored his outfit with Shy Shamrock and Darling Duckling, his feet with Basic Black, and his curls with Timid Tiger. His skin tone is a blend of Light Stampin’ Blends with just a touch of Petal Pink for those rosy cheeks.

The sentiment on each of my cards comes from a brand new stamp set, too! I didn’t notice it at first, but Wishing You Joy offers four sentiments in three different fonts/styles – I love that! You get: Wishing you joy, Sending you cheer, Noel, and May your Christmas be bright. The variety of fonts gives us so many options for versatile holiday greetings. Here’s a look at Wishing You Joy:
