‘Tis the Season with Delicate Pines

Elegant Pine Snowflakes

From the moment I was first introduced to the Elegant Pine Snowflakes Suite Collection, I was in love. What a brilliant idea – a delicate snowflake built from pine branches, combining two timeless symbols of winter! Add in the gorgeous greens featured in this suite, and I knew I had to create with it right away. Here’s the card I made to share with you today:

Building the Snowflake

My snowflake design took several forms and revisions before I landed on the final look. I stamped the images in multiple colors, cropped them with coordinating dies, and played around with layering – there are so many fun ways to showcase these elements!

In the end, I layered two Designer Series Paper snowflakes (cropped with the Delicate Pines Dies) and tucked a Shaded Spruce die-cut snowflake between them. I love the dimension this gave the finished piece.

The Papers That Makes It Shine

Of course, the real star is the Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Series Paper – just look at these patterns! (You can see the snowflakes I used for my card on the very first page, top row.)

A Finishing Touch

To complete the card, I added a simple sentiment from the Traditional Labels stamp set – “’TIS THE SEASON”. It’s clean, classic, and perfectly suited to a pine branch snowflake, don’t you think?

Between the delicate snowflakes, the bold greens, and that perfect pop of red, this suite is sure to inspire so many beautiful Christmas projects.
