Welcome to my Week in Review! Each Sunday, I like to share a quick recap for those who don’t follow along every day—and a little extra behind-the-scenes for those who do.
A Week of Outings
I’m a real homebody. I typically only leave the house for short walks in the neighborhood, an occasional dinner out or quick trips to the gym or the grocery store. If I don’t have to leave the house, I am happy to stay in.
This week was different … I left the house for a dentist’s appointment, lunch with a friend, shopping for my niece’s birthday. I went to the mall three times this week – three times, y’all!
On Friday night, Jeremiah and I drove to a small city outside of Atlanta to celebrate Ivy’s 6th birthday with family. We met at an adorable (and delicious!) pizzeria with gifts, cake and a fun card I made for Ivy (more on that later). Here’s an adorable picture of Ivy, blowing out her birthday candle:
Adorable, right? Please note: her little shirt perfectly coordinates with the card I made for her.
Monday
On Monday I shared the sweet tags that accompanied the product shares and Designer Series Paper Swatch Books I had recently mailed out. Here’s the tag I shared:
While I pondered its appearance to an Italian restaurant sign, I also love the simple, fun layout and mix of green, red and blue.
Monday also marks DAY ONE of many showcases of the Sign Design Bundle this week. 🙂

Tuesday
Tuesday was Stampin’ Up!’s launch of the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar. I have been so excited about this – and many of my customers are also sharing the excitement. Along with the launch, I shared a lot of pictures and videos from Stampin’ Up! but also shared some of my own photos (from when we could play with the kit at our recent visit to Stampin’ Up!’s home office).
I’m shocked that there are still advent calendars available for sale. I don’t know how many they purchased in inventory, but I assumed they would go fast. There will come a time, though, when they are gone – and I don’t want you to miss out.

Wednesday
I love when products designed for one purpose can be used for another. I love the “harlequin” feel of one of the patterns in the Modern Christmas Specialty Designer Series Papers. “That would be perfect for a sophisticated Halloween project, no?” I quietly said to myself as I was popping about the Fungeon one day.
I paired the paper with pop-out images from the Time for Celebration Mix & Match Ephemera Pack and a sentiment from … you guessed it … Sign Design. Here’s the card I shared on Wednesday:

Thursday
On Thursday, I showcased the “merry & bright” sentiment from Sign Design and paired it with a combination of patterns from the Christmas Tags & More Specialty 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.
Some pops of gold really helped to pull this card together. Here’s the card I shared on Thursday:

Friday
By Friday I had just embraced the continued showcasing of the Sign Design stamp set. With my design for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge, I made this card to share with them and you:
I was really happy to share this card with you – I love the mix of warm colors and the modern showcase of this leaf.

Saturday
On Saturday I shared the card I made for Ivy’s birthday. It was an easy decision to showcase these three things on her card: (1) flowers, (2) purple and (3) her name. Here’s the card I made for Ivy:
Do you see how Ivy was color-coordinated with her card? I couldn’t have planned it better!
Bonus: As I started to place the three letters along with 2-1/2″ x 6″ strip of Designer Series Paper, I positioned the “V” first – right in the middle of the panel. Ugh! The “Y” would eventually take more space than the “I”, leaving her name farther to the right than I had wanted it. I fixed the imbalance by adding the sentiment farther to the left than I had originally planned. That made the imbalance more intentional. In the end, I’m glad it wasn’t all centered – boring! Happy mistakes…

Looking Ahead
I’ve got some fun projects to share with you this coming week, too! I hope you’ll come back every day! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by today!

12 Days of Christmas Advent Calendar
I was really excited to order my 12 Days of Christmas Advent Calendar (and picked one up for Mom, too!) on Tuesday morning. So excited for it to arrive! Since I’ve already seen all of the products (we were able to play with the kit while on our visit to Stampin’ Up!’s home office), I know it’s worth every penny!

You’ve shown us some great cards this week as you always do! I’ve opened door #1 of my Advent calendar and very pleased with what I found. It’s going to be fun opening a door every day to find my “ treat”.
Another great week in the books for you! And yes, her purple shirt was the first thing I noticed!
