Friendly Foliage and Lasting Linen
In the wee hours of the night tonight (2am ET), Stampin’ Up! elves will be busy loading a bunch of amazing new Online Exclusives into the online store. What an exciting group of products! I’m already so inspired to play in the Fungeon (that’s my basement craft room) with my demonstrator pre-order items. Here’s a card I made featuring two of the soon-to-be-released products:
The framed leaves at the center of this card are actually one image that’s cropped with two dies. Full transparency: I was a little nervous it might be tricky to line up and cut out, but I nailed it on the first try—and I’m so happy with the result! Here’s a look at the new Friendly Foliage Bundle:
I stamped the large image from this stamp set with Shaded Spruce ink on Basic White cardstock, then positioned two dies around and inside the image. The die in the bottom left (below) cropped the full design, while the die in the top right (below) fit perfectly inside the frame for that layered look. Here’s a look at these dies:
For the background, I used a sanding block to lightly scrape away some color on a 2-1/5″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Secret Sea Two-Tone Cardstock, revealing the white core underneath. The result? A clean, elegant focal point against a subtly weathered base. Here’s a closer look:
You might not have noticed the textured Basic Beige panel on my card (though I know you pay close attention!). To create that look, I inked up the Lasting Linen stamp set (another new Online Exclusive) with Basic Beige ink and stamped it on Basic Beige cardstock. The tone-on-tone effect is absolutely gorgeous! Here’s a peek at this must-have background stamp set:
To finish the card, I layered everything on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper. The pattern blends Shaded Spruce and Pretty Peacock, giving my design a soft, harmonious backdrop that ties it all together beautifully.
The new Online Exclusives arriving tonight are packed with creative potential, and the Friendly Foliage Bundle and Lasting Linen background stamp are instant standouts. If you’re a fan of texture, layering, and elegant details, you’ll want to check out these new releases right away. Set your alarm for 2am—or grab a cup of coffee in the morning—and get ready to shop! ♥
