Texture, Layers and a Touch of Beauty

Today’s card combines the two bundles at the center of the two Suite Collections in Stampin’ Up!’s Online Exclusives launch this past week. A stamp from the Creative Haven Bundle and a die from the Petals of Beauty Bundle take center stage, while the Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper sets the foundation for this card.

Here’s the card I made to share with you today:

There are some gorgeous pages in the Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper, and the one I’ve showcased today might be one of the most beautiful patterns of all time. As much as I love it, I had to alter it a bit (I always do!). Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper:

Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, 167082Before I cut the paper into 5″ x 1/2″ strips, I pressed the entire panel onto a sheet of Adhesive Sheets. Then, I crumpled up a piece of white tissue paper (straight from my wrapping paper stash!) and pressed it into the sticky surface. The result? A gorgeous layer of texture on top of an already beautiful floral page. Here’s a closer look at the texture on these 1/2″ panels:

I stamped “You’re the best” with Mossy Meadow ink on Thick Basic White cardstock and punched it out with a 2″ Circle Punch. I originally bought the Creative Haven Bundle for the incredible tag dies, but now I’m thrilled to have the coordinating stamp set, too. Here’s a look at the Creative Haven Bundle:

These beautiful leaves are slightly hidden behind the large circle, but they still add such a lovely accent. Here’s a look at the Petals of Beauty Bundle:

After finishing yesterday’s card with the Secret Sea Low Profile Sparkle Dots, the embellishments were still sitting on my desk. Yippee! The Mossy Meadow dots were the perfect finishing touch for this card. Here’s a look at these low, flat, shiny dots:

Low Profile Sparkle Dots, Stampin' Up! 166157I love how this card brings together the best of both suites—lush leaves, delicate texture, and a simple sentiment that says it all. Whether you’re drawn to the Creative Haven or the Petals of Beauty collections, both work beautifully with the Brushed with Beauty paper. I hope this inspires you to mix and match your favorites, too!

  4. The texture idea is a must try! It changes the paper so much that I thought you were kidding when you said it was BWB.

  5. The strips on the tissue paper make a great card. I love the texture of the crumpled tissue paper. Enjoy your day!
