A Patchwork Christmas Card With Last Chance Favorites

Last Chance List Updated

Before I share the card I’ve made for you today, I want to give you a heads-up about a big sale you need to know about…

Stampin’ Up! has reloaded the Last Chance Sale with SO MANY products from the Holiday Mini Catalog – including all of the ones I used in today’s project – now discounted and offered on a while-supplies-last basis. These products will not be offered again, so this may be your last chance to pick them up. The discounts make it even easier to place an order. ♥

The Last Chance Products listing is what we used to call the “Retired List” – and this version is packed with incredible deals. I hope you’ll take a moment to look through it!

Sending Love & Joy and a Patchwork Background

Mom and I visited a little quilt shop in Marietta this week. While I have no interest in learning to work a sewing machine, I was completely inspired by the colors and patterns in the fabrics we browsed. It was so much fun to help figure out which prints paired well together – I was in my wheelhouse! As we shopped, I started envisioning quilt patterns on a Christmas card, and I couldn’t wait to get home to make one.

Here’s the card I created to bring that quilted look to life:

Traditional Labels Bundle, Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, Christmas cardMy card features four pages from the Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper – one of the Last Chance items now discounted. You NEED this paper, so go ahead and pick it up while you can (or restock if you’ve already fallen in love with it). Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Traditions of Christmas papers. As I write this post, this beautiful pack is Low Inventory

Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, 165853The background of my Christmas card is paper-pieced with four panels arranged around the edges of a 3-3/4″ x 5″ layer. Two panels are 1″ x 3-1/4″, and two are 1-3/4″ x 2-3/4″. Heads up: this layout leaves an open space in the center, which I covered with a decorated 2-1/2″ square. Here’s a closer look at how two of the panels meet on my finished card:
