Paper Pumpkin Alternative – Fluttering Garden (March 2026)

On Saturday, I hosted my monthly Zoom call with my Paper Pumpkin customers. During our Pumpkin in the Fungeon calls, I share fun ideas with the items included in the monthly kit, and my customers share their brilliant ideas. I’m always so impressed by what others are making—and I wish I could bottle the joy of these calls to share with you. They are always such fun!

Pumpkin in the Fungeon, Brian KingThe Fluttering Garden Paper Pumpkin Kit is designed to create nine super-sweet, hummingbird-filled cards for Spring. The projects are easy to assemble exactly as designed, but as you might expect, we always like to play with the elements to see what else we can make with them.

More About The Kit

The cards in February’s kit come together beautifully right out of the box – no changes required to create cards you’d be proud to send to friends and family. Here’s a look at the finished projects as designed:

There’s such a fun variety of flowers and hummingbirds in this kit. From the punch-out elements to the coordinating stamp set, each card design feels unique and complete. The kit features TWO stamp sets for a versatile collection of sentiments and images that work beautifully together – and extend well beyond the kit itself.

Alternative Projects

As lovely as the as-designed projects are, I also created a collection of alternative cards using the products in the kit. Each card showcases at least one hummingbird, and I used one of the stamps to build a fun background pattern on each card. Here’s a look at the alternative cards I made with this kit:

With all the beautiful colors blended into the punch-out hummingbirds, I knew I could work with a variety of gorgeous colors on my alternative projects. Aside from the hummingbirds and background stamps, the collection is tied together with each of the five 2024-2026 In Colors, which are soon set to retire.

Here’s a closer look at each of the cards:

I accented the front of the card with the adhesive-backed gold foil gems that came with the kit – such a lovely shine! They add just the right amount of sparkle without overwhelming the soft spring design.
