Stampin’ Up!’s 2026-2028 In Colors

Today, I’m sharing a look at each of the new 2026–2028 In Colors along with some of my thoughts about them. I can’t wait to start creating with these inks, papers, ribbons and embellishments – and I have a feeling you are going to love them just as much as I do! Here are Stampin’ Up!’s 2026-2028 In Colors:

2026-2028 Stampin' Up! In Colors - Barely Blush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Golden Glow, Peaceful Pine, Hydrangea Hue, stampwithbrian.com

* We don’t yet have the official HEX codes for these colors, but these are close enough to give you a really good idea of each one.

Ooo-eee! There’s so much to love about this mix of soft and rich tones. While I sometimes need a little time to warm up to new In Colors, I was instantly smitten with this group. One of the best ways to understand new colors is to see how they compare to familiar favorites and how they work in color combinations – so let’s take a closer look at each one!

BARELY BLUSH

Barely Blush is the palest of pinks – soft and sweet, It’s perfect for baby cards, spring florals and gentle sunset skylines. Here’s a look at Barely Blush: Barely Blush - 2026-2028 Stampin' Up! In Color, stampwithbrian.com At first glance, you might think Barely Blush is the same as Petal Pink. I thought so, too! But once you see them side-by-side, you’ll notice Petal Pink leans much more orange. Here’s a side-by-side of these two colors: Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Barely Blush, Petal PinkCompared to other soft pinks we’ve loved over the years, Barely Blush really holds its own with a delicate, airy feel. Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Barely Blush, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink It’s only natural to pair the soft Barely Blush with other sweet tones. I think Barely Blush will pair well with Lemon Lolly and Pool Party. Here’s a look: Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Lemon Lolly, Barely Blush, Pool Party

CRISP CANTALOUPE

IIf Crisp Cantaloupe feels familiar, you’re right! This returning favorite was originally a 2013–2015 In Color – and it’s just as lovely now as it was then. Here’s a look at Crisp Cantaloupe: Crisp Cantaloupe - 2026-2028 Stampin' Up! In Color, stampwithbrian.com Sitting right between pink and orange, Crisp Cantaloupe has a soft, juicy warmth. When placed next to Petal Pink and Calypso Coral, you can really see its unique balance. Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Petal Pink, Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso CoralI think this color really shines when paired with Misty Moonlight and Darling Duckling – such a warm and inviting combination! GOLDEN GLOW

Golden Glow might be the one I’m most excited about. It’s a rich brown-gold that feels both warm and grounding. Here’s a look at Golden Glow: Golden Glow - 2026-2028 Stampin' Up! In Color, stampwithbrian.com We’ve had some really great gold and brown colors over the years. Here’s a look at how Golden Glow compares with Peach Pie (a retiring 2024-2026 color that’s rich with orange tones) and Wild Wheat (a retired 2023-2025 In Color that gave us A LOT of gold): Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Peach Pie, Golden Glow, Wild Wheat At first, I thought it would be very close to Wild Wheat, but I love how distinct it actually is. Golden Glow pairs beautifully with neutrals like Crumb Cake and Mossy Meadow for a sophisticated, earthy palette. Here’s a look: Stampin' Up! PEACEFUL PINE

Peaceful Pine leans closest to the Regals family, but it still carries a softness that makes it feel fresh and versatile. Here’s a look at Peaceful Pine: Peaceful Pine - 2026-2028 Stampin' Up! In Color, stampwithbrian.com We’ve had some amazing greens over the years, and when you compare Peaceful Pine to Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen (which were both 2021-2023 In Colors),  you can really see how it fits right into that lineage while still offering something new: Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Soft Succulent, Peaceful Pine, Evening Evergreen With its slightly dusty tone, I think Peaceful Pine looks fantastic paired with Cloud Cover and Cajun Craze. Stampin' Up! HYDRANGEA HUE

Is it blue? Is it purple? Either way, Hydrangea Hue is absolutely gorgeous and sure to be a standout favorite. Here’s a look at Hydrangea Hue: Hydrangea Hue - 2026-2028 Stampin' Up! In Color, stampwithbrian.comIs it blue? Is it purple? Either way, Hydrangea Hue is absolutely gorgeous and sure to be a standout favorite. When I first saw this color during a visit to Stampin’ Up!’s home office last fall, it immediately reminded me of Seaside Spray – one of my all-time favorites. Side-by-side with Seaside Spray (a 2019-2021 In Color) and Almost Amethyst (a core color from 1997-2010), you can see just how beautifully Hydrangea Hue bridges blue and purple tones: Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Seaside Spray, Hydrangea Hue, Almost AmethystFor a fun and unexpected combination, I love pairing it with Petal Pink and Lemon Lime Twist. Stampin' Up! 1. Wow Brian
Thanks for all your research into how these InColors fit in with our current and retired colors!
Every year I look forward to your color combinations for ready reference!
My favorite color is purple so of course Hydrangea Hue is my overall favorite of this group of colors! I’m sure I’ll warm up to all of them.

    • So happy to share, Dawn! These are all lovely colors – and I agree that Hydrangea Hue is going to be huge. It’s so different from anything we have. Can’t wait to play with these new colors! ♥

  2. Brian, I know how much you love blue so I figured Hydrangea Hue would be your favorite. Mine are Golden Glow and Peaceful Pine. I have my original Crisp Cantaloupe pad, cardstock, and DSP. The pad is still juicy!

    • I love the blues that can also play purple – I am so happy for Hydrangea Hue! 🙂 I also have the Crisp Cantaloupe pad from years ago, but I’m excited by the new format of the ink pads (with magnets), so I pre-ordered a new pad. Love it!

  3. Victoria Heinecke

I look forward to your annual post on the new colors. I will admit that, at first, I was not crazy about this year’s palette, because I tend to gravitate towards bolder and brighter colors. Now I can’t wait to start using them! It’ll be fun to play with color combinations for a fresh look.

    • They tend to alternate. Last year’s have so many brights. I think these colors will work well with brights and may take on a little brightness, depending on what they are paired with. ♥

  4. I like all of these new colors. Usually, there is one new color that doesn’t appeal to me, but all of these are very nice. I can’t wait to get them into my stash. Thanks for the great color combos…always so inspiring! Enjoy your day!

  5. Wow, your secret keeping abilities for Hydrangea Hue are extraordinary! I love all the new colors and am excited to use them. Since I have all those ancient colors you showed, too, it’s going to be a color explosion in my stamp room!

    • We weren’t even allowed to take pictures in the room where we saw all the new goodies… We saw the OnStage bag that’s Hydrangea Hue. Of course I asked what the name of the color was… 🙂

  6. Oh, Brian: you really know how to make my opinion of the new In Colors go from lukewarm to excited! Thank you very much for your summary and inspiration!

  7. These new In Colors are fabulous! I am also MOST happy about Hydrangea Hue. It sort of reminds me of my favorite crayon….Periwinkle. I really enjoy your comparison to both old and current colors. Thanks for sharing.

  8. I love your combinations Brian. I especially like the Crumb Cake, Golden Glow, and Mossy Meadow. Being a hydrangea lover in my garden, I am excited to add the Hydrangea Hue to my collection.

    • We also have hydrangeas, but they are a brighter tone. I’m so happy you like my combinations – the one you mention is one of my favorites, too! I think I’m really going to love Golden Glow.

  9. Thanks for bringing the color combos together? They r beautiful!!

  10. I hate typing errors!!! Supposed to b !!!! at the end! My fav is the blues combo!!
