If I am anything, it’s predictable.
Once again, I set out to make a simple, two-layer card featuring a gorgeous sentiment. Then I snipped away at the sentiment. Then I added a layer… and another… and one more… until I somehow ended up with a seven-layer card that still manages to look wonderfully simple.
Here’s the card I made to share with you today:
My card started with the Get Well Soon single stamp, new in Stampin’ Up!’s May-August 2026 Catalog. The sentiment measures approximately 3-3/4″ tall and 2-3/4″ wide, making it large enough to serve as the focal point all on its own.
Here’s a look at the beautiful Get Well Soon stamp:
I stamped the elegantly scripted sentiment on a Hydrangea Hue pattern from the Silly Old Bear Designer Series Paper. The soft design reminds me of a bright, hopeful sky – perfect for a card that sends encouragement and healing wishes. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns included in this sweet collection:
Yellow is always an uplifting color, so behind the sentiment panel I added a Darling Duckling gingham pattern from the Everyday Essentials Mix & Match Designer Series Paper. Between those layers, I tucked in a Basic White panel cropped with the Perennial Postage Dies for an extra touch of texture and interest. It’s a small detail that adds so much charm.
Speaking of charming details, I finished the card with three sweet flowers from the Adhesive-Backed Blooms collection. These pretty embellishments add just the right amount of sparkle and whimsy to the sentiment. They’ll be available as part of the July 2026 Online Exclusives, and I have a feeling they’re going to be very popular!
Aren’t they gorgeous?
These embellishments are included in the Product Shares I’m offering from the July Online Exclusives collection, which launches on July 1. There are so many exciting new products coming, and I can’t wait to share them with you.

I’ve paired Secret Sea with Hydrangea Hue on several recent projects, and I’m convinced these colors were made for one another. For this card, I added Darling Duckling and Basic Gray to complete the palette. If you love this combination as much as I do, I hope you’ll save it for future inspiration:
Last Thoughts
Sometimes the best cards are the ones that take on a life of their own. What began as a simple design gradually grew layer by layer, yet the finished project still feels clean, bright and uncomplicated. The oversized sentiment does most of the work, while the carefully chosen papers, colors and embellishments help reinforce the message of hope and encouragement. It’s a reminder that even a card with seven layers can still feel wonderfully simple.
