It’s perfectly OK to re-work a project if you aren’t happy with it the first time. When I first designed the card I shared over the weekend, I used the beautiful Summer Starfruit pattern from the Patio Party Designer Series Paper as the centerpiece. After I applied the jar with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added the corner circles, I realized the design on the paper was too much for this layout. While I love the design in the DSP, the card really needed a solid piece of Summer Startfruit. Not a problem!
- It’s easy to remove images that have been applied with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Nothing gets ruined, and you can start all over. Simply run your snips under the image and carefully cut the dimensionals in half. Be careful to not cut into the paper on either side:

- To remove the remaining pieces from your card, simply run your finger over them with a slight amount of pressure. They will quickly roll up so that you can easily wipe them off.
How easy was that? Now, I’m ready to cover the DSP and recreate the card with a simpler, cleaner look. I hope this little tip was helpful!

Great tip Brian!! Thanks!
Glad you like it, Samantha! I try to avoid giving tips that are too obvious, so they are sometimes “reminders” instead of “tips.” I even look past the obvious sometimes, so it’s nice to remind myself. 🙂
What a wonderful idea, Brian! I didn’t know you could do that! Thanks for the tip and good luck with the re-do!
Hugz2u! ;D
As always, I am so happy to share!
Thanks for the tip! I try to pull it off very carefully and sometimes it does not work out so well!!! Will store this idea to try!
Linda, Yay! I am so glad this helps someone. I have destroyed so many cards by trying to rip off a dimensional-adhered item. I was thrilled when I tried this over the weekend! Seemed so obvious that I was afraid I might be the only person in the world who hadn’t tried it. This makes my day!
Thanks for the great tip Brian! We learn something new every day and I’m so glad I checked in with you to learn this tip!
Thanks, Kat! I am so pleased to hear it. Lots of great feedback today. It’s great to hear because I enjoy sharing.
Well thank GOODNESS for tips like these… cause sometimes even true stamping PROFESSIONALS may need a “redo”… not that *I* would know about this…. (ahem…) Thank you for sharing!
OH how I wished I’d checked my email before I tried to gently pull off my dimensioned embellishment today & ripped the DSP behind it! Thanks to you Brian–& I’ll definitely be sharing this tip with my stamping class!
Did that so many times before thinking “there’s got to be a better way to do this…”. Glad it’s helpful!
Love your tips, great easy fixes for our goofs…Thank you!
