Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- New Stamp Set? You might recognize Jolly Old St. Nick from Get Your Santa On in the Holiday Catalog, but do you recognize the sentiment? It’s from Christmas Tagables, a photopolymer stamp set that was introduced last year and is still available. If you don’t have this set, now’s a great time to pick it up – works perfectly for tags and cards alike. Click on the image below to see these images in my online store.
- Honoring the Sketch. Amy’s sketch calls for two patterns in the central panel – one above the band and one below the band. While this piece of Santa & Co Designer Series Paper is one piece, I cut the paper strategically so that the more dense snowflakes are in the top piece.
- A Red, White and Blue Christmas Card. I love these three shades of color together – Marina Mist, Real Red and Whisper White. Because there’s so much blue compared to the red and white, the card doesn’t read “patriotic” – instead, I think it evokes a cool, but warm feeling. It’s all in the proportions – equal portions look patriotic, while a larger balance of blue or red or white changes the mood entirely. I really like this non traditional color combo for your card . And who doesn’t love this jolly little Santa ? The snowflakes add the right touch to compliment the scene . He looks like he`s trying to catch them as they come down around him . Fun fun card !

Oh, I agree with everybody, this little Santa is cute as he can be. I love how you utilized that pretty DSP to be his background, it looks like it’s snowing and, like Sonny said, Santa is trying to catch the snow flakes. The sentiment fits perfectly this adorable image. Have a blast of a weekend.
