Botanicals for You – A 2016 Sale-a-Bration Sneak Peek

Yesterday I shared a project with Hello, a new sentiment stamp set from Stampin’ Up!’s 2016 Sale-a-Bration catalog – if you missed it, you can see it here.  Today, I’m sharing Botanicals for You (another bold-and-beautiful sentiment set from Sale-a-Bration that’s sure to be on the top of your list), and I’ve paired it with Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper (a gorgeous, limited-time Designer Series Paper available January 5 through February 15).  Here’s a card I made with these awesome Sale-a-Bration items:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Botanicals for You and Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper.  I couldn’t love this big, bold sentiment more than I do – it’s perfect for so many occasions.  The Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper comes with lots of different colors in watercolored patterns.  While some are wildly bold (like gasoline in water), these pieces of Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake give a soft backdrop for a beautiful card.  Here’s a peek at the Botanicals for You stamp set, packed full of great sentiments and cute flowers:

  • Sentiment Pairings.  As you can see from the stamp set image above, “just for you” (a centerpiece sentiment) is paired with three great sentiments.  These three sentiments are perfect on their own or in combination with the “just for you” words.  Further, you can add them on the face of the card, inside the card, OR on the envelope.  What fun flexibility!Botanicals for You, Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian King
  • Color Combination.  While the colors for this card were initially informed by the options available in the Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper (Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake), I really wanted to work Blackberry Bliss into the mix for a deep, rich look.  If you like this combination, too, feel free to save this:Stampin' Up! 1. Brian, I used that stamp last night and LOVE it.

  2. Love it and the part on the envelope has just the right amount of whimsy in anticipation of the card! Happy holidays!

  3. I won this stamp set at Lisa Meyer Pretto’s party for demos and am so happy I did. I love the bold font, of course, but the little flowers are also a treat. Try the design shown in the Sale-a-Bration catalog; it’s also very striking and so colorful!

  4. Simple but amazing with the lovely background!

  5. I agree Brian, this stamp set has many uses, it will make a nice gift tag.

  6. This is such an elegant color combination. And your choice of background paper for the sentiment is just lovely. A wonderful card!
