HAPPY MAIL

It’s always a HAPPY DAY when I receive HAPPY MAIL.  Of course I love to receive a UPS shipment from Stampin’ Up! (who doesn’t love that?), but I often receive beautiful cards from customers, friends and fellow demonstrators.  I love to open, study and admire each card – always makes me smile – but I’m not always good about acknowledging the receipt of cards to the senders.  In 2016, I’ll be better about that. Promise.

This week I experienced two days of Happy Mail.  One day I received this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit (what fun!), and I’m excited to share the other with you today.

From Australia with Love

Gifts from Australia are always a pleasant surprise.  I often times receive beautiful gifts from my dear friend, Louise Sharp  – no one can pull together a box of goodies (Tim Tams, Chocolate/Licorice Bullets and other “lollies”) quite like Lousie, and there’s always a lovely card to accompany the treats.

Late last year, I participated in a Blog Hop with Kylie Bertucci’s Crazy Crafters team  – what a talented group!  This week, I received three cards from three very talented members of the team.  What a wonderful surprise!

Happy Mail from the Crazy Crafters, Stampin' Up!

Not only did my happy mail include cards from Kylie Bertucci, Angela Westland and Carolina Evans, but I also received a fun corsage that might make me an official member of the Crazy Crafters group.  Here’s a quick look at each of these beautiful cards:

Kylie Bertucci created a beautiful watercolored background for this card and stamped sentiments from Hello, one of this year’s Sale-a-Bration stamp sets:

Carolina Evans offers a fresh perspective on the Balloon Builders stamp set by turning this shape into jelly beans.  What fun!  She used glimmer paper, but I’ll overlook that because of the overall originality of the project.  🙂

Angela Westland‘s square card is filled with beautiful textures and neutral tones.  The band across the middle is Crumb Cake Satin Ribbon, and the entire card is aged with sponged ink, adding a very classic look to her card.

Aren’t I lucky?  I really enjoyed receiving these cards and loved to share them with you today.  Please let these talented stampers know how awesome their projects are.

Thanks for stopping by today!

  7. Awesome cards from the mail! Just explain to me what Tim Tams are…I have heard the name, but it alludes me to what kind of sweetie it really is…Thank you for sharing your great news and beautiful cards. Carolina’s jelly beans from the balloon stamp set…genius! Love the watercolor card from Kylie, and Angela’s Textured card is a beauty too! Again Thanks for sharing these cards with us!

    • Tim Tams are a chocolate cookie with chocolate creme in the middle and covered in chocolate. I don’t typically like desserts with that much chocolate, but these are amazing. Not too sweet. Just delicious. 🙂

  8. Love to see you showcase other people’s work. I had to laugh as I thought I was the only one who thought the little balloons looked like jelly beans or even Mexican jumping beans! Such talent!

On the same line I was wondering if you received my Christmas card of the dancing pig. When I saw the stamp on the shelf – she just cried out, “Let me dance for Brian, he will get a chuckle out of it!”

  9. Such beautiful works of paper, stamps and ink. Love the clever jelly beans!
